Freestyle Salmon fisherman tries to catch a buzzard , bad idea!

Really a matter of consideration ..... Generally speaking , if someone is fishing I move to the far shore or the furthest point I can . If the situation does not allow that I idle down to pass ( You see this shows that you acknowledge them and their activity ).

Very few guys cast 50 yds or 150 feet . If your close enough to get a rattle trap in your face you probably need it. A little advice .... when you ride understand everyone around you is just as passionate about their activity as you are about yours.

Buzzard, I think if I got my lead right I could catch you and certainly while you were roosting. O .... BTW if you have ever had 3 treble hooks in your face then you will understand there is no escape ..... not a good position to be in especially if they are using a braided line ( you cant beak it ) .

Maybe this could be an event At WF.

Been there done that. I don't know Buzzard, but I don't like him because of his attitude. On the same note, I act the same way he does. Maybe I don't like myself. (We'd probably do a lot of dumb poop if we met) I will say, it's public water. If I screwed up, I WILL apologize. If you screw up, well... Without being there, no one can say anything. BUT, if jakwad did nothing wrong, and the fishpansy did, well, he got ror'd. I would not let it go that easy.

You are lucky you weren't shot (worst) or arrested (best). We as PWC operators have always had the stigma of being the d1ckhead, 'I own the waterways' type of riders that most of us on here aren't. I've been riding for over 20 years and most of that time was on a lake that is heavily fished and never once had a problem with a fisherman. I always look where I am going and make sure to respect folks who are already camped out in a certain area. No need to be that close to shore. He shouldn't have cast at you, but you shouldn't have been there in the first place. For God's sake, don't try that in the South, because it won't end up good for anyone.

Not sure why you felt the need to ride close enough to cast at, most people probably don't cast more than 500', most areas it is illegal to make wake that close to shore. I think you are having issues with comprehension, I was merely pointing out the fact that 623 was agreeing with the birds actions (insinuating that he would also instigate conflict), then talking about a fisherman who actually tries to catch PWC riders but likely didn't say a word to him.
This is irrelevant to buzz's story anyways.
Fact is, one object was stationary on the shore, the other in motion and in control of speed and heading, these two suddenly reach a conflict in proximity, who is at fault?

the law here is 200 ft from any swimming beach. if there aint a beach, you can be as close to shore as you want. i have ridden this spot for 11 yrs and i cant count how many confrontations we have had with boaters, couch riders, fishermen and the rest. usually its me and def dave defending the rest. i would be doing the same for anybody that rides with me. those of you that dont stand up for yourselves, unless you are talking on some forum, dont deserve respect. i dont disrespect others unless i want trouble. i wont tolerate being disrespected by intentional ed up actions. all you buzzard haters that think i'm in the wrong here, can kiss my ass. my attitude is great........until i'm ed with. i view the talkers on here as ing with me. i dont mind turning into the snake when i must.

This is what they are trying to catch. 20 lber just down the river from that spot.
Braided line would have been a bit of a game changer.

It always seems like the guys on the shore are casting at us when we go by.
I talked to one that said he thinks the jet skis scare the fish toward the shore
where they are fishing and he doesn't mind.
I have been riding that spot with those guys for a long time.
Fishing on the river from a boat it always seems like guys on the shore are casting at you also.
Fishing for Salmon you use spinners and gotta keep the line moving so you cast reel cast reel.
Still gotta say you are pretty close to shore Mark. Everybody just trying to have a good Sunday.
I am sure I would have been making wakes towards the shore also.
I would have been going for the 180 splash most likely.
