Really a matter of consideration ..... Generally speaking , if someone is fishing I move to the far shore or the furthest point I can . If the situation does not allow that I idle down to pass ( You see this shows that you acknowledge them and their activity ).
Very few guys cast 50 yds or 150 feet . If your close enough to get a rattle trap in your face you probably need it. A little advice .... when you ride understand everyone around you is just as passionate about their activity as you are about yours.
Buzzard, I think if I got my lead right I could catch you and certainly while you were roosting. O .... BTW if you have ever had 3 treble hooks in your face then you will understand there is no escape ..... not a good position to be in especially if they are using a braided line ( you cant beak it ) .
