Jace Forest...BRAP!
It's finally gotten to me, too many people calling their ENGINES "motors".
Your internal combustion ENGINE is called just that...a ENGINE, not a motor.
A electric motor can be called a motor but not a engine. From now on when I see people say "blah blah blah the motor in my ski" I'm just going to assume you are a tree huger running a electric motor in your ski.

ENGINE not motor!

Rant over=)

Kotajoe on here gets bent about the same stuff. I ask him how often he rides his "engine cycle"...

I'm a grammar nazi, I just hide my anger about the subject... and I know how you feel, but I still do it.

Call summit and jegs and tell them they need to reprint there catalogs, it's crate engine, not crate motor. Doesn't bother me, but the old timers at work get up in arms about this too. I think it's funny cause I don't care either way.lol

I know what your saying, it's just become a loose term over the years. BUT, the old timers are the first to step in and say it's not a motor! I find comedic value in it, cause it literally drives them nuts. Sometimes I try to piss them off by switching it up and refer to electric motors as engines, talk about a rant.lol

Do you ever use the word jet ski do depict a pwc that's not a kawasaki? Yes it is not a motor and your pwc is not a jet ski but in the end who really cares!!!!!!

Why is it called a driveway when it used for parking, or a parkway when its used for driving?

It's no different then calling a yamaha atv a quad as Suzuki owns the right to the term quad. Yet everyone calls four wheelers quads.

No,no,no my friend say it with my class

A motor is a comparatively small and powerful engine, especially an internal-combustion engine in an automobile, motorboat, or the like.

http://m.dictionary.com/d/?q=motor&o=0&l=dir

A motor is a device that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy, especially an internal-combustion engine or an arrangement of coils and magnets that converts electric current into mechanical power.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/_/dict.aspx?word=motor

Even my wedsters that I'm looking at says internal combustion.

So to recap you pwc is not a jet ski, a yamaha 4 wheeler is not a quad. And a engine is the same as a motor
