I've got two x-metal scuppers. They aren't bad but they do leak. If you're looking for the most water drainage from your hull then a scupper will be the best. Some have had good success with the versi-plugs. They don't drain as fast but they also don't leak either.

There are links floating around to install the scuppers but you'll have to search for them. I don't have any direct links first hand. Just search scupper install.

I run two Rule 500's. If I were to put in a scupper, the only option I would ever go with would be the Versa Plug MAX.

I have 2 versa plugs on my spec HX and they never leak, unless a ziptie gets in the way, but checking them is just part of my pre and post ride routine.

I have a Blowsion one way valve. Been on my boat for about 6 years. No leaks, drains all the water! Bilge pump is only used for emergencies (like a double over head wave smacked my hood off)....Haha

Watcon hood seal, tie dow strap ,one-way homedepot valve & x-metal scupper, dual 500's.....i can basically stay under water till i run out of air ...:0) just need to get the telescope air snorkel figured out then its a submarine ski ... >>> looool

thanks for all the opions, i do already have two bilge pumps i am just lazy and get tired of turning the pumps on all the time. I have one problem with the duel bilges also i have one mounted in front of the motor and one behind the motor on my 750sx and the pump infront of the motor always comes unglued, i have try ployester figerglass resin and marine tex epoxy resin but both have come unglues and ihave just ended up zip tieing the bilge pump to the gas tank bungies

any ideas on the best glue to use to glue bilge pumps down

Scuff the hull with 90 grit where your pump basket will go, scuff the pump basket as well. Wipe both thoroughly with acetone. Then use 3M 5200 Fast Cure to glue the basket down - let cure for 24 hours. That sucker won't ever come off.

98% of making the basket stay in place is proper surface prep. You need a CLEAN and OIL FREE surface. For stuff like this that I want a really strong bond, I will also take a razor and score in a crosshatch pattern to both parts - this makes the glue really "grab" the surfaces.

I have used epoxy etc on my bilges. After using 5200, I have never had a basket come unglued since.

Whenever installing any kind of scupper, consider hose clamping some aluminum window screen mesh over the inside hull pipe opening. If this is done, nothing can get to the scupper/check valve to obstruct it and let it leak. Might cost $3

My Xmetal leaks like crazy...maybe because it is pump dump??? My 24-7 sealed perfectly...wish I still had it.

I run an 1100 Rulemate bilge pump...this is the best pump out there, hands down and doesn't need a switch.
