Did you return the previous one and get a new one?New camera works great! been sending my kid outside as I play with the settings for the last hour. Got it to where i can read the license plates of my cars in the drive way at night. Only thing is I can't find the enhance button after I zoom in!?

Good for you!!!!!!!!!I installed several of my.cams while it was raining and I didnt melt.
Yes. Amazon even gave me a 20$ credit for it being a dud. So far I am impressed with the quality. However, the motion detection leaves a lot to be desired. Any car with lights on within a half mile seems to set it off. I changed to the sensitivity from 10 to 15 (any higher and it wont pick up people walking) and blocked out everything but my driveway and still woke up with dozens of alerts and recordings of a flash of light. I also turned off the IR.Did you return the previous one and get a new one?
Really, you get us all in on Reolink now your looking at jumping ship! SnickerI have the same issue with our front door. Our house is directly across from an intersection so at night, the lights from every car coming down the road sends me an alert, sometimes multiples from the same car. I have the settings dialed in better now but it's usually still 15-20 alerts a day from the front door alone.
One of my co-workers picked up a Lorex system and each camera has a PIR sensor, (passive infrared), which is 100% better for motion detection.
I was already envious of the features the Lorex NVR offers but factor in PIR in each camera and now I want to switch everything over even more.
We know you have some inside intel....come on, spill the beans haha jkI’m going to wait for the next big upgrade before I replace any more cams. I bet 4K is less than a year away.![]()
Have you messed with these settings anymore? Curious if it is worth spending the time messing with the settings or not.Well it's not quite what I was expecting, it took a bit longer to setup and is still a bit quirky. The link Turtle posted only shows how to view the motion events, not set it up so there would be any in the first place. The only reason I had any to see was actually due to a mis-configuration on my part.
So, I mostly only record 24/7 and only have motion setup on two cameras. When I tested the above feature, all I got were the emails and snapshot when either zone is triggered but no alarm events were recorded. I found I had to go into the motion setting and tell each channel to record itself on trigger. This step is necessary so the channel overwrites the scheduled recording and flags it as an alarm event. So simple!
Both the client and app have settings to only show alarm events and now mine should work.
Unfortunately, we have our Christmas lights up right now so the damn sparkling laser show is causing all kinds of nuisance trips. Heaven forbid I turn it off for even a couple seconds...much less a whole night..."insert colossal eye-roll emoji here"![]()
