Other Seperate section for "Ski haulers"? Trailers, racks, carts, totes, hitch haulers etc?

Couldn't find where this was already discussed but is there any interest in creating a seperate section for all the different methods we use to haul our skis?

Tons of threads scattered in the general or off topic sections about everything from trucks to enclosed trailers to hitch haulers.

So, we need at least 3 more forums: hauling skis, short blocks for sale, craigslist ads.

What else, handlepoles for sale? how to paint a ski? riding areas around Paducah, KY?

My goal in recent years has been to reduce the number of forums we have, not increase them, because we have enough threads in the wrong forums already, LIKE THIS ONE which should be in Site Info so I'll actually pay attention to it. (I'm subscribed to Site Info, I get an e-mail when a new thread is created there)

I'm all for making a new forum if there is enough interest but I'm not sure this is one of those because most people aren't changing up their hauling setup very often. I know I built my trailer in '95 and it was still the same basic trailer when I sold the ski a few years ago.

More thoughts? Any forums we can do away with right now?

I can't think of any threads to get rid of yet, but I'll look around. Funny, cuz I never thought of that lol... Maybe put a trailer, hauler, sticky thread in the Tech FAQ forum? Then when questions on the topic come up we could link it easier without searching? I just built a hitch hauler a couple weeks ago and it turned out pretty good and will post it up some time.

A generic hauling/trailer forum like BK said would be cool.

As for reducing that's easy from my POV...

- Flatwater/FreeRide/Surf should be one forum. 300 posts in the one shows there's no dire need.
- My Ski & Buildups combined.
- Half the ski forums can be combined. Just make Yamaha, Kawasaki, Other (Polaris, etc.), & Aftermarket.

This going with the train of thought that people can use and search on Prefixes. If that doesn't work for some tell them to pound sand and learn how to use the internet.
