I have yet to see any other flat water skier ride like this. The videos of this guy riding are ridiculous. Lee Stone goes pretty huge too, but not like this guy. Stoyer is doin pretty good too. Then apart from those three guys, I've never seen any other riders come even close. He also doesn't spend half his time riding kicking at his foot holds like I see a lot of guys doin. This is also the only 540 flat spin I've ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=ULpWmqJjQiybg&feature=player_detailpage&v=pWmqJjQiybg#t=57s

And I am by no means trying to say there aren't better riders, I just don't know or haven't seen them. I'd like to see someone from our country ride harder and go bigger than this guy. Show me them.

^^^^^ Agreed. I'm personally tired of seeing a zillion backy's in a row, and the absence of the real rider skill like the old days. I'm not saying that backy's don't take skill, but they don't take near as much rider stamina and skill as monkey flips, etc.. If the only "skill" you need to compete in freestyle today is holding on to the boat while the boat does most of the work, that really sucksass.

I totally agree that 50 straight backflips are pretty lame, and that old school freestyle routines are sick as hell, and we all know that those moves aren't easy, but I don't want to watch hood tricks all day either. This BUN guy is doing back to back 360 flat spins, switching the direction of the spin each time, followed by perfect plate to plate flips and barrel rolls off no setup wake, and the setup wakes he does go off he throws those massive free ride style flips with his arms and legs shooting off in every direction. Just like FMX has evolved with multiple back flip variations, including off axis flips and corks, so is jet skiing, and I love it. Pretty soon guys are gonna be throwing doubles and plenty of off axis flip variations.

I kinda think people do what they can with what they have. If Marc or anyone tried to do any of that stuff on a 1200cc 160mm pumped mini hull I don't think it would work out.

He did what he could with massive grace on a whatever it was superjet.

They can't really be compared IMHO.

I would love to see some supermans and monkey jumps on these BEAST little skis!

That dude was at World Finals in Havasu last year and he killed it. No silly looking kicking feet in holds over and over before routine and almost no fist pumping between tricks, just continuous ariel combinations his WHOLE routine. I thought he won the title for sure but the judges gave it to Lee Stone and his Superman Backy. Yes, Lee's Flatwater Superman Backy was amazing but by todays standards the rest of his routine was mediocre at best. IMO 30 big combinations out scores 4 or 5 big ones with fist pumping in between. The Japonese have had better routines for the last few years and the judges always shaft them. AND for any of you who are going to say all the japanese did was multiple flips you're wrong, I was there. Theres 4 or five of them and they all have very impressive routines which they end with a multiple backflip run, much more entertaining than 4 big moves and fist pumping circles.

If you are talking "riding skills", than 20+ very technical tricks wins over 3 huge big air tricks in my opinion

Remember that industry insiders are the ones scoring events. No low budget rider will ever be allowed to win regardless of his skills.
