single freestyle carbs

Living the dream!
anymore info on this?

been seeing a bunch of Novi's up for sale lately...

I dont really understand the whole bombsite vs. annular discharge etc....

Bombsight carbs are meant to give better response at lower rpm where as annular distcharge are better for racing etc. Please feel free to correct me.
I had an ATP single 48 annular distcharge carb that i could never realy seem to get to hit properly, now have a Full spectrum 49 and its mental, clean power from anywhere. Couldnt be happier.

I have a single Novi 48 on my 860cc (with an ATP intake) and am quite impressed with the hit as are most people who have ridden it. I really don't think that dual 48's would give it that much more of a hit.

I have the bomber carb on my ski and love it. I think it misses a little of the midrange that my duals had but the bottom and top end are great. Im not good with carbs and this one is easy to keep in tune.

novi for a stock bore with a little work go with a 44/48 or big bore stroker lamey go with a straight 48mm . the rivas also work good for the price . for a straight 48mm but for most the full spectrum will be harder to tune in .

For flatwater freestyle on a ported and B-piped 701 would you recommand:
-single blackjack ?
-single novi 48
-single full spectrum 48
-single riva powerbomb 48
-dual mikuni 44's
Right now I'm running stock 38's

Thanks

I am wondering this too, I am currently debating a dual 44 setup or a single BIG carb.

I went from dual 44's to a single 48 Novi to oem 44's and back to dual 44's. The single Novi was very clean, good power, but I feel like the duals made more power. I do feel like the Novi was limiting as a single due to the circuitry changes they make. It was geared for 1 carb/cylinder application.

You can't go wrong with a 49 Full Spectrum. I have both setups dual 48s and a single 49. I would recomend a single for freeriding but if you can afford it the dual 48 hit hard but do consume more fuel.

Lots of people recomended different carb set ups, Judge said 701 b-pipe, dual 38's all the way, wamiltons said the same thing, they all think there is more power with a dual set up and Judge said 44's are better with big bore motors. All said, I have a ported 701, b-pipe lim. chamber, dual 38's and it has lots of power for a 701. I think this is gonna be a age old debate.

Guys, I have ran the ever popular Full Spec 48s on my Lamey, the single Novi 48, and now have BlackJack 46s.

Learn from all the money I spent/wasted-stick with 2 carbs and if u want really awesome carbs that are easy to tune and stay tuned once dialed in-BlackJacks rule in my honest opinion.
