I started this build with my old man I would say about three years ago. It was a project that was neglected because of other projects and work and it was left collecting dust for a long time. I wish I had pictures from when we started but I couldn't find any.

It was my dad's idea to bring and old squarenose bottom deck and my old kawi 750 topdeck together and it was going to be his ski when all finished. It kills me to know that he won't see his creation come together. About 7 months ago he suffered a massive heart and didn't pull through.

He used to log is as Blitz on this site and was a lot more active than me at one point. He loved jetskis and was building custom skis since I can remember. Old Sea doo XP's with 951/ 155mm pump conversions, a wave blaster 2 with a 1200 , and I still have a 94 XP on the side of my house that he shoved a kawi 1100 in. Not to mention a bunch of stand-ups throughout the years for me and my brother.

He got me into skis and taught me everything I know about building them. Now that the dust has settled a bit, I owe it to him to finish this build and bring this thing to life. RIP Fernando Ferrer , this ones for you.

This is how she sat for a long time. Kawi 750 topdeck and a -3 SN Sj bottom Both halfs are joined but It needs a lot of body work. bare hull currently weighs in at 106 lbs with try foamed. Hood is about 17 lbs

I'll update with some more info and pics later tonight.

Motor has been sitting for as long as the hull. Its getting a GP 800 motor with 1300r non powervalve cylinders. Assuming its stoke bore (I'm not 100% sure yet) It'll be an 865 cc motor.

For now shes cleaned up and body work on the bottom has begun. It's slow going, the South Fl heat does not play so I'm working on the body work in 1/2-1 hour intervals.

Wow! At first I thought why the hell.....but build that sucker. Cool you were working on it with your pops. He will be proud when you finally finish it up and take it out for a blast.

He definitely was a dreamer and liked could put some cool skis together. He built this 1100 xp when I was a kid, hitting 70mph back when that was fast lol.

Looks good from far but far from good! This was yesterday, I ran out of body filler so I called it a day early. I'm 90% done with the bottom though, just a few small holes to fill. not lookin for perfection, this thing is gonna get beat on anyways.

Mostly do to school (but also do to lack of fund$) this build has been neglected a bit. I really want to get this thing done by Daytona Freeride but only time will tell. I still have to track down a few parts and still there's plenty of body work to do.

I did get a chance to work on it a bit recently. Its a minor update but still an update lol. Body work on the bottom is all done. I modified the footholds in this thing how I did in my FX-1 and laid some chopped mat yesterday before I reinforce it further.
