I started this build with my old man I would say about three years ago. It was a project that was neglected because of other projects and work and it was left collecting dust for a long time. I wish I had pictures from when we started but I couldn't find any.
It was my dad's idea to bring and old squarenose bottom deck and my old kawi 750 topdeck together and it was going to be his ski when all finished. It kills me to know that he won't see his creation come together. About 7 months ago he suffered a massive heart and didn't pull through.
He used to log is as Blitz on this site and was a lot more active than me at one point. He loved jetskis and was building custom skis since I can remember. Old Sea doo XP's with 951/ 155mm pump conversions, a wave blaster 2 with a 1200 , and I still have a 94 XP on the side of my house that he shoved a kawi 1100 in. Not to mention a bunch of stand-ups throughout the years for me and my brother.
He got me into skis and taught me everything I know about building them. Now that the dust has settled a bit, I owe it to him to finish this build and bring this thing to life. RIP Fernando Ferrer , this ones for you.
This is how she sat for a long time. Kawi 750 topdeck and a -3 SN Sj bottom Both halfs are joined but It needs a lot of body work. bare hull currently weighs in at 106 lbs with try foamed. Hood is about 17 lbs
I'll update with some more info and pics later tonight.
