Sj tank?

Paul, what is that plate bolted to the top of the cylinder head? Also any special tricks getting the b-pipe to fit? Unless you are lucky and have the FX-1 b-pipe!
It is just a b mod pipe. The bracket was for a dry pipe on a previous ski. I have since modified the front mounting lug so it is easier to get the tank in. I couldnt find a picture to show what I did . What I did was cut the lug off and epoxy in a lug as close to the hull as I could and I use a spacer the width of what I cut off. It makes it much easier to get the tank in and out. I will keep looking for a picture to post.

Are you guys grinding the underside of the hood seal in front? Tank fits but it's super tight..cant get turf in between..dont want it to rub through tank..I am using turf for a tank pad..maybe can grind that down a little but looks like it's still going to rub

I have about a 1/4 inch clearance between the tank and the edge of the hull in front of the tank. I think the clearance depends on two things. How far you slide the fuel hose on the tank and on the filler neck as to where the final position of the tank sits in the hull. Here is a couple of pics of the gap I have and where it sits.20210326_223900.jpg20210326_223909.jpg20210326_223953.jpg

Thanks. I think I’m further back than you..using internal fill

It was just a rubber spacer. I thru bolted the plate and the spacer. It wouldn't have to be rubber it's just what I had laying around that was the right thickness. And yes I modified my hood tubes. I'll see if I can find a picture and post it.
