Cooling issue fixed, exhaust leaks fixed. Ski runs great for about 20mins or so then it bogs again. Plugs looked a bit on the rich side, one even looked fouled. So I changed the plugs ran good for about 1-2minutes then bogged again. I am going to change the Stator this week. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

So I was able to change the stator out. Still have the same issue after about 20 minutes of riding. Brought it in checked plugs front cylinder looked a little lean rear almost looked fouled. Started the ski up the next morning ran fine for the 5 minutes I rode it. So I don't think it was a fouled plug.

Could this be a symptom of a bad CDI?

Could be Bobert.....almost sounds like the same problem Kevo's having. I have an 09 sj cdi and a few 6m6's on the shelf that i offered him to see if thats the problem...you are welcome to try them too.

Having the SAME exact issue with my 96 SJ...It's drivingme nuts. I replaced the CDI, no luck. Any luck with yours?

Go for a ride with your hood off, it's the easiest way to check for an exaust leak, in the past when ever I've had a bog after a few min it's always been exhaust, so both of you go for a rip with you hood off, if the problem goes away you found it

Tried pulling the cover today seemed to help for a little but issue came back. I opened the ebox and switched out the coil. The old one looked like it wasn't grounded well and the plug wire resistance wasn't reading well. I didn't get back out on the water but it did sound much better on the trailer. I will update how she runs when I take her out on thurs. Bob def check the the resistance on your plug wires the specs are in the service manual and yes I have read where a bad CDI causes this that is why I started there.
