Custom/Hybrid ski security-what do you do?

At rides and such just park you ski next to the $$$ A/M skis and you're guaranteed not to get f'd with... who's gonna take a cavalier vs a corvette? LOL

Otherwise besides the cable over the driveshaft park in the best spot you can find. i.e. backed up against a fence, wall, bushes. Under good lighting, in front of security cams, etc.

All helps except in the case that ppl were plotting to take your :):):):) already.

Lots of locks, covers help keep them hidden and less conspicuous (especially bright paint jobs) but we all use mini well hidden GPS trackers after 'billybo's' superfreak got stolen several years ago. That raised local awareness around here in Florida, his SF hull was never recovered but some parts showed up and were recovered in pawn shop.

do you guys have links to the GPS trackers? Are they on 24/7? I wouldn't mind dropping on of these in my ski!

put it my my room. you can almost always find a side door that leads to a elevator. used to do this with my dirt bike. also lived in a dorm room about the same size as a hotel room and i would use the elevator to take my dirt bike or ski up there. whatever was broke and needed fixed came to my room.

I turfed my old rn on the fifth floor of the coral beach. My superfreak is in my house and covered under home policy.

Very interested in the tracker people keep posting about. I left my octane outside last summer since I moved and it can't be in a garage anymore. I was always worried about her. Now that I'm building an eme and still can't put it inside I'm currently looking for a house closer to work with a garage. Other then that I'm not sure what I'll be doing with my expensive built ski :(

I leave mine on the trailer usually directly in front of my room with a lock on the trailer hitch, chain lock on the tire, cable lock on the driveshaft, and a 30' cable lock all wrapped around the ski in a way that cant be unwrapped without unlocking (which prevents the hood coming off). Also a few sheets or towels over the ski under the cables to look a little less desirable.

Haha well with my weird house, putting it inside isn't an option since I don't live alone. If / when I live alone I wouldn't hesitate to make my ski a coffee table in its down time

I find it hard to believe that some of you who have $15k+ into their skis don't have a few thousand dollar enclosed trailer to keep it in.

15 minute drive to my lake. Haven't seen it as really a practicle expense. I live in a quiet neighborhood is why I haven't been THAT concerned. But I'm growing more and more concerned as I spend thousands on a new ski

Walk out basement 1/2 finished 1/2 unfinished she stays in the back by my work bench all winter. During the summer she stays in the garage and the cars stay outside.
