The SJ, he started away from shore at an angle that gave the couch plenty of time to yield the right of way by passing him to the stern. The couch was bearing down on the SJ and needed to yield the right of way.
My point was just that not every person on a couch is a retard. Christ, look at all the tools with more money than brains whose first boat is a 45 footer and they have no idea how the hell to drive it.
Oh, and the video needed another Gleason clip for the fight "I'm a punch yo momma right in da mouf' "

This is a typical problem on Lake Erie and especially Cleveland... Goggles is from the hood and he got enough cash to buy that old beat-up Couch... No-one told him how to ride it. He didn't take the mandatory boater safety course... and now him and his homies are gonna go down the beach and have fun! These jokers are the same ones that start the ski while it's beached and rock it back and forth till its in the water! I also believe those jokers were running the ski with the engine temp alarm or oil alarm blarring constantly!
If goggles would have taken the boater safety course or heck if he had read or looked at the diagram on the ski under the handle bars he would have know what he was supposed to give right away to a ski to his right. Better yet if would have been paying attention he could have avoided smurf all together before he even got that close!
Being a primarily a couch rider until this past summer... Not all couchers are idiots. But couches are so much easier to get a hold of and require zero skill or brains to be operated out of the box! These idiots get on these couches and never learn proper safe operation and make arzes of them selfs like this idiot!! Its a huge problem around here!!

Goggle boy was a douche all day. He was riding like five feet behind me and following me while I was jumping waves. I had allready yelled at him for riding too close to us.
No, not all couch riders are idiots...and yes, some stand-up riders are.
The difference is, I'm not afraid of a crappy stand-up rider, because they can't go more than 5mph....but an idiot couch rider weighing twice what I do and going fast can kill me.

Yeah....i get the law. Im required to take that course yearly. I just watched it again and this is what happened. SJ took off from shore on a path that would have put him parallel when passing the SD. He hit the wave and lost his balance and control of his ski and went into the path of the SD. The SD had ample time to swerve but as many have mentioned the operator was probably not very experienced and 'froze up'. It was an accident and its a good thing that nobody got hurt. I still think the ruling would go to the SD in a court if it came down to it. If an injury had happened. If that video was presented, because it clearly shows loss of control

It was a test run...there was nobody out there at all and water was a sheet of glass. It wasn't on the same day as the rest of the vid... I had some small holes in my water line that was stopping my JetWorks Flow Valve from opening.

i would imagine the SJ would be the smaller vessel of the two, and he clearly just kind of froze and puttered across the couch riders path.
the sit down should NOT have been going that fast, that close to him...but the SJ should have moved his ass as well.
