West Coast prices are simply stupid high. The commercial real estate market is failing. Layoffs in the tech sector are continuing. Nationwide the economy is slowing. Credit card debt is up. Mortgages are becoming unobtainable at 8 percent.

Last season there were very few "jet skis" for sale. This season there are a ton of sit downs for sale, along with a whole bunch of four stroke Super Jets. And more stand ups are coming on the market.

But RN SJ are still few and far between. People are holding on to them as long as they can.

If youre willing to spend that you might as well find a round nose from the south and ship it north. 3500 is stock RN territory, 3500 for a square it should be 100% fully loaded. Don't fall for west coast scam pricing.
Ship a round nose? How would the guy look at it and check it out?? Good way to get burned.

I thought I was a cheap ass lol. It's not a scam. People on the west coast make more than diddly small town America. Time is money.

Someone post up a 3500 dollar round nose. I'll buy it

1- buy it from someone in the community who is trusted. @Ashtonb3 is a good dude and routinely has some of the cheapest clean skis in Florida.

2-You might be cheap, but youre also ignorant. Tell me you don't understand economics without telling me.

3-I bought a 2000 RN with B pipe not even 2 years ago for 3k. Plenty of CLEAN cheap rides down south.

You sound like a clown who cant choke on his own member hard enough. Typical for California.

people here are overpaid because there's a trade off in quality of life. The country NEEDS people here to generate tax for big corpos. That's why you can go make $100k a year as a technical recruiter for any major tech company in silicon valley but youre paying half that in rent for a studio... meanwhile in 'diddly small town america' you can still buy a house with land for under $200k. You can't even buy a condemned 1000sqft property on the west coast for that. Piss off

I actually like Sparkplug.

(Although I have never net him.)

@sturat Everything you say about California is true. Please America keep voting Democrat so our Governor can be your President.
Governor dumbass Desantis is going to give Newsom a national debate platform so that all the single enraged women can be astonished by his good looks and caring personality and vote for Newsom for President.

Newsom made California the homeless-poopy-in-the-rivers-hepatitus B-drug State and he can do it for the entire nation soon! And he is sold to China and a graduate of the World Economic Forum's Young Leaders program (like Trudeau), so we will all have to learn to like that.

@amp3d You still there? Learn everything about RN and SN SJ's you can from the internet. So you have to learn less after you buy your first ski. Often, a higher purchase price can be inversely correlated to wrenching learning time. You want to learn to ride, not to wrench. Learning to wrench is inevitable, but you want to put it off for as long as possible.

Update: 30 acres for $97K is outstanding! Especially if it has any river or slough front. And if you can crop share it with a reputable farmer or rancher.
Note: I didn't quote you because I know you don't respond to quotes . . .

Your book didn't post any round nose for 3500. Cause there isn't any. Just cause your broke or cheap nor got a deal 3 years ago doesn't mean dick. Sounds like you aren't buying poop. Cause you can't afford it or think there is deals. Time is money. Obviously yours isn't worth anything crying over 1000 bucks. Lmao

I just bought 30 acres for 97k. What's that about California, brokie?

Just in case Sturat wasn't paying attention prices on used skis started skyrocketing about two years ago, while they have come down somewhat, comparing prices now to those of three years ago is foolish.

No way man. He bought a ski 75 years ago for 25 cents. He knows the market

Does that dude even own a jet ski? Prob the cleanest round nose out there. From Florida. Lmfao. Jackass

The only people I know that struggle with time are multi millionaires. This is a money and time pit hobby, all I need is a good ski. If you want that, it’s best to buy a new OEM crankshaft and surround it with the best parts you can find. That’s how old guys tend to see a boat. Kids only see the paint job and never consider what’s on the inside.

I would never buy a ski I can't water test.
Been there, done that! (I got lots lots of used seadoos over the years...but I'm bored of them so it's stand up time.:)

I don't mind doing road trips and every few months drive right across the country just for fun! If I can come home with new toy it's a bonus!

But finding superjets in Canada (especially older 2 strokes) is a challenge.

I've been browsing forums since may watching for something to pop up, and many are overkill for a newbie like myself.

I had a field day during covid. Had I not gotten so busy with work these past few weeks I was about to head home to FL to buy and ship 2 SXR800s back for 3800 each purchase price. Easy doubling my money up here. I have seen prices go up... and I have seen those overpriced skis sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit... and sit! That's why all my for sale posts last about, what? 3 hours?

If people are pissing away money like that, then I should probably get back into doing full builds again. Hell, there are NICE skis posted for a good deal that have been sitting. It's all right time and place as of late. Last I talked to ashton about the market he couldnt give a clean 2002 RN away for $3400. Compare that to the $6400 stock 750sx and $4000 550sx's listed in my area and you start to see the divide. Pricing is insane out here, much more realistic outside of the west coast.

Sparkplug is a golemic genetic hybrid that has somehow mastered bipedal movement and vocal articulations that appear to sound like human words. Run your c-sucker all you want, I'm right.

If you talk out of both sides of your mouth you are bound to be right 50% of the time , This was a thread about buying a Superjet, not sure exactly what you are trying to turn it into , but congrats it's defiantly there now.

sturat, I haven't met sparkplug yet but I am hoping to coordinate with my wife and my buddy a pilgramage up North to ride with him.

My understanding is that he can consistently back flip his ski and has no footholds in it. So, my guess is that he has mastered riding.

@amp3d How about buying your ski with a two ski trailer, driving to Virginia and picking up a ski for me, then heading West?

I can fund some of your gas and meet you somewhere between VA and CA?

Lol. That dude is mad I live in California. And pay alot for superjets.

Does that guy even ride? He had a spell during covid and should have bought skis cause he's a master builder.

Man wtf. Get the 701 superjet man. You'll be much better off op. 650 sucks

E350. I can shred a ski. Superjet. 550. Fx1. Blaster. Raider. Xfr. Evo. 750sxi. Sxr. Every. Single. One of them. Got do problem riding with good people.

I have a stock 650 SN and a modded 701 SN. Both a fun in their own respect. I use the 650 when lake is calm. Use the 701 to chase boat wakes when lake is busy. Just starting out from what you describe , I would go with the 650 then buy a modded 701 when the urge hits. Worked for me. See -I just made a post without getting mad at another member. Now was that so hard ?
