We ride just around the corner from here. Seal island is approximately 3 kilometres ride from where we launch and these big boys breach. We run into them frequently

If you ride salt, they are there. Just not all jump. We have huge hammer heads in tampa. Like 15 feet. They are there, they just don't jump. We also have bull sharks like crazy, the meanest of all sharks, they also rarely jump.

I'd wouldn't hesitate to ride that in a second, As a matter of fact I wish we had that at my riding spot. No I'm not some Keyboard Cowboy tough guy, but I do know that sharks sharks grabbing people off of skis/boats is just a bunch of Hollywood crap. In reality sharks are deathly afraid of the engine noise a ski puts out, so as lond as your riding your ski your safe. What it would do is keep unwanted surfers out of our riding area.

I fall off my ski to much. And I would make a good meal for a hungry great white. But thanks for answering a question I had tumbling around my head. I always wondered if you south Africa guys rode around seal island or if you steered clear of that area.

and bull sharks have been found way up in fresh water rivers. those are the nastiest sharks out there.
