Should there be a few classes and then a "best in show" like the car guys do? When you say aftermarket hull, does that include top decks or no? This is going to be hard to set up fairly.

I am guessing your only going to get about 6-8 boats. I would keep it simple like last year.

Best Ski
Best on a Budget
Best Turf
Best Paint

maybe add (best performer) Let the voters sort em out!

I'm glad I was in it last year, but I don't think I'll ever do it again. Too much work making everything that pretty and spotless. (Only to get trashed in a couple months anyway!) All the skis were killer last year. I saw a lot of things that I had never seen before. My ski actually ran like crap for Lanier. We still had snow in Cleveland so I never got to tune the carbs or pipe. I think the right guy won for sure. Steve's ski was unbelievable. Then again, so was Chuck's! That Polaris motor rips! Partyboy and SFL both had killer decked out freeride boats! The black ski was amazing too. A billet 900 cyllinder? (wasn't that what it was?) Can't wait to see this years crop!!!!!

I like the idea of the build off. Gives a stage for companies and individuals to exhibit their hard work. Plus that little competition pressures the builders to make these boats better in a number of areas. The more ideas we can all share and experiment with, the better the equipment gets. My hat is off to anyone that builds a ski from the ground up........it takes allot of time and thought.
