I've sold about 60 sparks in the last 2 years.. Rode them all. I ride stand-up fixed steer ski.... The spark is great for what it is.. The plastic hull will break if you hit it extremely hard but so would a glass ski and the cost to repair would be about the same. They are extremely nimble but more stable than the 96xp was. Very water tight when flipped over! and the motor can be tuned to 110 pretty easily... Parts to replace broken ones are cheap, and it's easy to work on. Now a days our cars are plastic... and that doesn't seem to bother anyone... If I had to go back to a sit down for some reason, I'd have a spark myself, I don't care for the b1 or 1 when you get dumped in the surf and try to get going again it sucks... the spark has a lower center of gravity so it's easier to remount. Base model used sparks can be had reasonable and you can take a 60hp to a 90 cheap, or even a 110... Best of all it's push-button and go....
