Tim, when are you going to step it up to 4 sparkplugs? :p

Brandon boat I run BR9eya
At .016 gap
What's his compression and is he running tl? Total loss had more spark energy so in theory it can jump a larger gap correct?
Just trying to compare to my setup running total loss on a 1105 with 50:50 domes

Yes total loss can run slightly higher gap.
But in a salt water I wouldn't recommend it as it will cause spark arcing

I have found a couple references now that say the BR9EYA is an updated version of the ES and was designed to offer reduced fouling. They are interchangeable in every other way.
I held a br8es and a br9eya side be each at Napa last night and the eya's are longer by about a 1/16 of an inch, not the threads, the actual tip. I did not buy them because I'm afraid of piston clearance.

Somebody posted those plugs up before in their own thread and I think that's the thread that @Quinc was referencing earlier.

I picked up a case of the BR9EYA's today for me and ScottS to test out. I run my ski pretty fat and then it sits for long periods in between rides so my plugs are usually built up pretty decent which makes for hard initial starting so I am curious if these may alleviate some of that.

I'm game to try anything once. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I don't know all that much about plugs but #.0 suggested that B8EG to me years ago and I've liked it. I feel it gets a ski started quicker after sinking in salt than a regular B8 or BR8. I also find its easier to tune a ski with because the electrode is smaller and you can see the porcelain better. Not too much scientific evidence on my part other than running them for the last 5 years or so and having good luck with them.

I ride 100% salt, oem 62t stator and MSD enhancer. Anyway here's some difference between B8ES and B8EG.
