I am having severe clearance issues with this exhaust conversion. the stock kawi pipe won't fit at all. here is how much room I have.

ok, so turns out that conversion-plate only works with aftermarket manifolds. I won't be getting one right now so went back to stock exhaust. I read that the stock exhaust is really more of a muffler than anything and doesn't really increase horse power like the cheater pipes or after market pipes do. anyone know this for sure?

anyway I added a new fuel filter and cleaned out the petcock.
I did realize I don't have a bilge in this thing, so I'll have to add one of those.

the only thing I am mad about is I only had orange cooling line left so it clashes with the red.
waiting on throttle bracket, coupler cover and waterbox to show up.

alright so I was smoothing out some rough edges on rails and nose and rear of tray and when I was putting my dremel away I found some turf I thought I had used already. I have just enough to the tray and footholds.
anyone know of some good cheap under-pad that I can source locally?

If you're gonna keep that ski for a while, wait it out and spend the money on hydroturf black plush pad. Do it right the first time. That plush won't compress over time. You're feet will thank you, and in the long run it'll save time, stress, and money.

you're right. I just bought some 9mm and 8mm.
I'm hoping to get this thing done before February rolls around.

here is the video:

YEAH!! listen to that kitten purr. Didn't even need to prime it and it was 38 degrees outside!
thanks for all of those that have helped me get this far. I am going to try an hold on to this at least till summer is over.
Financially might not be my best move...but I'll make it through till things pick up in the spring.
plus I got most of the hard stuff done before the semester starts on Monday.

I will wait in turfing until I have an extra set of hands ready, it is so much easier that way.
