Still looking for opinions. I've got a running gp800 (with a recently rebuilt motor) and a superjet with basicly a bigbore frankenstien motor. is the stock pv800 with stock electronics much better than what I'm running now.

What do I need to do for impellar? is the stock 144 pump going to work at all? (looking for actual experience)

To make the switch I'm going to need to sell almost every spare part I've got.

you can get a stock pump to hook up with a 80mm 66e, you will need around a 15/20 or 16/21 prop, you start adding mods like big bore, high compression, etc. you'll need a mag or else you have to start custom bending props to get the high pitches you'd need to run. Derick from the ski clinic has a bone stock (stock carbs, head, pv, etc) 800 in a lightweight rev hull, he'd be one to ask for opinions, i know he's running a 14/19 prop in his (it's lighter, not as much load). My opinion is you will notice a big difference.

thanks. I think I'm going to make the conversion. It'll take a while to either make the parts I'll need or buy them from WD.

What is included and the price of the converstion kit from WD?

Last I checked, it included the exhaust system, intake manifolds, and bedplate conversion.

does the bedplate conversion rotate the motor AND line up the motor with the sj motor mounts? could I shave off my front pedestal and use an aluminum bar like superramjets octane?

wd conversion puts the motor upright and uses the factory motor mount location of a 701. It uses the same couplers you are running now. His pipe will fit that or if you do it the way i did it the pipe will also fit. Look at squids 1200 build it shows the 1200 which has the same 66e cases and adapters. glassing in mounts would be the most cost effective way. You would only have to buy the pipe and manifold. you could even run the stock carbs in their oem position just make an air box that raises the openings. rear mount does not have to be changed.

a friend of mine made his own manifold and used a seadoo aftermarket pipe chamber. he told me it hit just as hard as his speedwerx twin pipe, top rpm was a little less (but who cares)

my new pipe will clear the oem sj tank, a much needed option. I'm only about 20-25 min on a kart tank. I'll be able to do this because my octane hull is wider at the bond line. since you are running a conversion you might be able to run your tank or chamber in a higher position

hmmm, I'm pretty light on the throttle. I go through less gas than most guys I ride with. we'll see how it goes. using a SJ tank would be real helpfull though.
