Does a stock 701 or 760 have more Bottom end punch?
And is there much of a weight difference between motors?
And is there much of a weight difference between motors?
they weigh the same. it's common knowledge that the 701 has a lower hit.
that doesn't mean you can't make a nice build out of a 760.
701 T cylinder is also ok, you just lighten the pump load a tad and it will rip.
Is that the frankenstein motor? 62t cylinders with 61x cases?
Pretty sure he is just speaking of the T cylinder, be it on an x or t case. Keep what you got, get your cylinders ported and dont make it any more work than it has to be.
Like Shonuff said, the T cylinders make nice smooth power, awesome for freeriding. The X cylinder will give you the low end snap you are looking for, especially with the 144 pump.
Sounds like my plan.. You get or getting the bonzi pump this winter like me?
I'm looking for the pipe too.
Also yamanube pm me if you want a programable total loss for the 701.
stock the 760 is a turd..tons of mid range thow.... mine got alot better with a pipe and head....but iv heard porting them makes them hit like a 701 bigbore down low......ill let ya know next spring
yea the flywheel does help a bit too....vibrates like hell thow without that rotating mass of the stocker....anyone running a single carb setup w/ 64x cyclinders 62t cases>??....i talked to paul a few days ago and im really thinking of going to a single carb setup...so much less bs....heres the setup im thinking of trying for next year in my square
