That's awesome that you got it back but it sure sucks what they did to the paint. Hopefully they half-assed it and you get lucky enough to pressure wash most of that paint right off.

I am sanding it back down to the gelcoat now. Probably going to have it painted gloss black then add a wrap or graphics. I don't care what it looks like, Friday I am going to ride it.

I was thinking the same thing. I was also worried that if the guy saw his picture on facebook that he would ditch the ski somewhere and I would never see it again. Luckily his mother saw it first. Less than 24 hours after we posted his pictures I had my ski back in my possession. Social media is powerful!

I know exactly where he lives. The cops had me go to his place to pick up the ski. Imagine that!

Deduct at least $2000 for the paint job. I figured out what he was doing. He heard that there was going to be a Waterworld movie sequel filmed on Lake Keowee, he was just getting ready for the audition. That or a new MadMax goes to the beach movie.

The Dodge truck just behind it belongs to the guy who gave the tip that lead to me getting it back. I have invited him to a cookout on my boat this weekend.
