Reliability First:
1. Limiting Rope - Prevent Pole Breakage.
2. Brapp Straps - Prevent losing Hood.
3. Plug the front breather on the hood and get a bilge pump. Add breather via Handlepole or cut new hole in hood. - Prevent Water Intrusion.
Ridability Second:
1. D-Cut ride plate - Get the nose up and stop pearling wave fronts.
2. Stubby Pump Cone - Let the engine rev a little faster.
Riding Lake Michigan is much different than per say the Pacific near Oceanside, CA. Lake Michigan will toss your chit in no time. Oceanside you have 8-12 seconds between wave breaks. On the Pond you might get 8 seconds on a perfect day in the winter. Ride areas that have natural breaks and shallow sand reefs. Stay away from deep drop off shores. I love Sheboygan for this reason, no plans to ride Milwaukee ever again.
