Custom/Hybrid Suggestions on different fuels/timing

I have a friend that flies ultralight aircraft and if I remember correctly, the reason why it's so hard to find airports of any size in Canada that will sell to the public is because they only have a certain quantity. I don't remember exactly the details but from what I do remember, airports have to buy in advance X-amount of fuel supplies because AV fuel is only made in batches. In addition to this batch making/advance ordering, they only make something like 3 batches a year so the airports have to have their fuel consumption numbers figured out to book their advanced purchase. Kinda similar idea to boat dealers, they have to figure out what they will sell over the upcoming season well into the fall before because that's the only time they can place orders.

dirtyj was saying maybe i could get avgas from brampton airport, i guess its a bigger place then the ones ive called.. thanks for the info id really like to just keep it running the way it is setup but at this point i think i will atleast need to do the seals

ive never pulled a case apart that has been epoxied before hope there isnt anything i need to know lol shoot first ask later

I was just talking to the guy I mentioned about the AV fuel, and he said that I remembered it pretty well the way he remembered it. But he also said one of the other reasons why most places will not sell it to the general public is because AV fuel is not taxed the same way as pump fuel therefore can't be sold under the same conditions as pump fuel. I wonder if they sell an octane booster/additive as a substitute for this kind of situation :scratchchin:

You can get decently priced race fuel from Pro Racing Fuels
Mississauga, Ontario

They had their Mark 4 (114oct) last year for around 4.50 a litre and I was mixing it 25% to 50% with pump gas with great results on my triple piped GPR last year. Much better than C12 or C16
