**** update, this will henceforth be known as the superfreak in less than a week build????? ****

Ok, I know a lot of fellow x members have followed my thread in the fitness category about a deal that my fiancee and I made that if I lose x number of pounds that I could build my dream ski. The time is drawing very near for me to be beginning my build. First and foremost let me say this is a daunting undertaking that myself and my riding crew are going to attempt. thanks in advance to Justin, Ed and Dave for helping me in the upcoming days try to pull this off. My goal is to go from painted hull to built and ridable ski by Wavedaze, to be exact the Thursday before Wavedaze. Over the past few months I have been selling and trading up for parts to be able to pull this build off, and the last few odds and ends are on the way and should be here this week. A special thanks I need to express to Chris "aka" Jetmaniac for providing me the bulk of the components in one way or another for this ski, without him and his parts I, as well as an awful lot of members would be sitting around, broken, waiting for parts to ride the next weekend. He is pretty much your one stop shop for nearly anything you need!

Additional thanks need to be made to Tem for building a/the BADASS hull. I personally still have not seen one in person and bought this word of mouth from trusted sources. to be honest I stil don't know what I'm getting into just yet but a special thanks to Matt, Tipafew, and Berky himself to try and get myself both mentally and physically ready to build things. Aircraftsalz deserves props on this as well in telling me what options I should choose, and believe me there are a lot of them! Tem has a hull for anything that you may want to do!

Josh deserves extra thanks for volunteering to help me with getting my ski painted and for choosing the color I think is going to look awesome on this ski, Corvette Velocity Yellow. And on top of it helping me get it crated and shipped up here after assembly.

Also deserving of thanks are SteveUk, for supplying most of my ATP parts, Dangerboy cold fusion for making great, innovative parts that I've gotten from Jetmaniac: an authorized dealer of his products. Brian of 615 freestyle for providing hardware and for supplying my boy Justin a really nice motor. And Boyer from OCDsolutions for my stand and some help with e-box wiring. Now that al the thanks, and I apologize if I left anyone out along the way!

Here is a list of the goodies going into this bad boy, I'll add pics as soon as possible, but I need to get my spare room in order before I start taking pics; this is being built in the spare bedroom of my condo, so God only knows what my neighbors think is going on at my place with the non-stop deliveries and wheeling watercraft in and out :)

Hull- 2011 Superfreak BADASS! : Full Carbon, Heavy Surf layup. Not sure of the exact weight yet, it's not here yet. -2 inch length, no scupper, dual battery mount options: stock location, and one under the exhaust behind the motor, with front toe hold.

Motor- Jetmaniac/blue 710 cc with jetmaniac modified stock 38 carbs, bored factory b head pipe with mod B chamber. Motor supplied by jet maniac, boring, porting and boring done by blue.

New style x-metal water box - supplied by x-metal

My old Stock fuel tank with cold fusion fuel fill, Supplied by Jetmaniac. Will have reserve on this build, i learned my lesson after a very long swim last summer!

Steering cable - OEM, steering plate X-metal -2, TBM throttle lever with bearing, odyssey trim lever that came with x-metal trim. ODI Troy Lee Grips.

x- metal adjustable handle pole from Jetmaniac.

Mid shaft is OEM, although I really might upgrade to the cold fusion one, still undecided.

Dual 500 GPH bilges, I may not need them, everyone says these stay very dry compared to superjets, but we dwill see. OEM hood seal. cold fusion hood side hood hooks supplied by Jetmaniac. ATP limiting rope supplied by SteveUk, this thing is beyond bombproof!

E box has all JSS mods including the external battery connections which will make life immensely more convenient to work on, e-box is removable leaving all components in place. John from JSS waas a pleasure to deal with, If you need anything electrical rebuilt, repaired or modified CALL HIM FIRST! He is awesome to deal with! JSS ignition Coil, ATP epic ignition. And OCDSolutions tidy bilge system.

All hardware bypasses etc supplied by Brian of 615 free ride.

Custom 2 tone hydroturf yellow backing, black diamonds, inch thick hydroturf underpaid.

Scat 12 vein mag pump supplied by Jetmaniac, with 13/18 scat impeller.

I am going to have 2 different reduction nozzles depending on regular riding or flat water at our lake house at Lake Anna Va. One will be a #0 bored to 85mm raider reduction nozzle with x-metal trim system. The other will be a no trim system with a #0 bored to 85 mm stock SJ reduction nozzle supplied by Jetmaniac, and the ATP extended steering nozzle supplied by SteveUk so I have flexibility with whatever I may want to do. By the way if anyone needs nozzle work #0 does great work at a very affordable price. I highly recommend him!

Engine mounts are the urethane mounts produced by Rhaas, and look great, I can't wait to pancake them and give them a workout.

Lastly but in no way leastly my ski will be equipped with a GPS tracking device after the very unfortunate theft of a fellow superfreaker. Details on this I will keep to myself but rest assured that if someone takes my ski they will be found, and police will not be needed, body bags will be needed. The device itself will be concealed and has no wiring, battery powered, waterproof and undetectable until activated. I have seen it in action and it is way way cool.

Thanks for reading my little thread, let me know what you think!

Very cool. Can't wait to see the paint. You'll get it done two weeks, no worries

It'll be ready for Wavedaze Brian. I still have to paint mine and it's going to take a little time, so I don't mind giving you a hand with yours since I'm not pushing to get mine done before Wavedaze.

Hate to spoil the fun but your e-box won't have to go in and out!! After JSS is done with it!! I got the same this done, Super nice!!!
Question... Dual battery mounts? Why?

I have seen some people like the battery in the stock location to keep the nose down, others like the battery under the exhaust behind the motor to centralize the weight and lighten the nose for backflips. I figured id have more adjustability this way.

I just weighed myself in 175.2 that's goin to feel like a light ski ready to ride for sure! I've shaved 23.5 lbs off my arse since I started the diet! I love it when a plan comes together!

Pump arrived today as promised, looks great Chris! I have never ridden a mag pump on anything, so I'm excited to see the difference. Josh's surf freak is supposed to be done today, so I think he is going to pick up both our skis over the weekend, I can't wait to get it and start the assembly! I'm thinking of doing streaming video from my computer in case anyone wants to watch us build it. At least some some sort of time lapse type deal.

Another small pointer.....mount the ebox way over toward the carb side. It gives you a lot more room when installing the B Pipe. I got a little lucky and had already done this just figuring it would help.

Mag pump looks purty.....I should have just splurged a little more and got one. If I get off work for Wave Daze maybe we will have to swap skis and compare.

Nice and good luck! FWIW I hated my battery in the back..I need to be able to get to it easily......the weight/footprint of your new hull will make you forget all about our collective 13lb battery issues....it is gonna be sooo floaty and flingable and zippy you won't even know...
