dont install a versiplug or anything that you cant close while riding, that would make your problem way worse. if i was you id leave it alone or get a super long drill and drill from the back between the chines to make a long hole for any water to drip from the foam through. seal it up with a stainless screw and call it done. its just a hull

Doesn't matter how much it weighs go have fun or spend 5G on a new light weight hull that is worth 500 bucks in a year. Even if you compeate you make no money at this so just go out and enjoy. Don't worry about weight.

looks like you also have destroyer tubbies bolted on? there probably another 3kg, and looks like the nose has been repaired/ modified/ reinforced?, that usually adds weight, then there is also the water thats sitting in the waterbox etc ......you probably wouldn't find much water in your foam at all

I would weigh it dry and see what you get. I want to do the same with my ski and see what the weight is. Just siphon the gas into a gas tank. If you do decide to refoam I saw this awesome post where a guy used the rubber in a can stuff that they advertise on tv. He sealed the entire inside of the area where he would foam so he would get 0 water in there.

Found out why my ski is a few kg's over weight

Was feeling around my foot holds and it felt so soft and flimsy

So pulled some turf away and yay gues what I found
A nice big crack big enough to store some narcotics in for cross -border trips:261::thumbsdown:

The foot holds were put in with such a half job attitude Brett Armstrong if you ever read this you suck do things the right way the first time I'm seriously un-happy right now

Oh well time to cut the deck out take out all the foam that's wet re-in force the foot holds again

Really want bob holds but I don't think they look comfortable at all so just going to go back to my old ones might look at them in the future

Here is some pics for you viewing pleasure

It looks like they were installed fine. Lots of abuse eventually broke through them and they could have used another layer of reinforcement.

They were not sealed right at all had lots of openings where water got in the deck wasn't sanded to make the glass bond on right

But its cool I can redo it to my standards

Tray and foot holds were put together with marine bonding sikaflex

Then glassed over with 3-4 layers of 2" woven glass tape

And re-foamed with 2 part poly foam

Looks good. Don't you want underpad where your feet go? Seems like that would be the most important spot.

Nice work on defoam/refoam. Hopefully you don't have any more leaks since you used 2 part.
