Superfreak circus carbon fiber repair

Again, speaking about stuff you have no clue about. You are irrelevant to this situation yet, have a strong negative opinion.

let’s clear some things up for you haters.

i purchased that circus as “ready to ride” and “in perfect condition”. Long story short, it didn’t run. It had mechanical issues and a bunch of stupid little issues that would have left someone stranded in the middle of the lake. I went through the ski, fixed the issues that i found, water tested it, it didn’t have spark, back to the shop, fixed it, then successfully water tested it. I’ve got footage of me riding it and it ran excellent. Funny how the seller that screwed me over gets a pass from the internet when he blatantly ripped someone off.

I then listed for sale as a USED whole or a hull because i completely lost interest in skis after getting screwed over on yet another deal. It was listed as “ready to rip your arms off” because it would. “Mint” was not in the ad.

Chris (machodoc91) came over and purchased the hull from me. We later found out that inside of the carbon exhaust tube had a crack in it. Chris pressure tested it for reassurance and it didn’t hold pressure. So yes, i missed something. I’ve never once in 16 years of messing with skis have seen a cracked exhaust tube, but I’ll be sure to check from now on. Chris and i have been in contact and he’s been compensated and we are taking care of the issue. He’s a good dude and understanding about what happened. We both missed an issue yet, it was resolved and life moves on. Again, there’s no bad blood. I’ve never understood why all you internet tough guys spread so much hatred and BS to manipulate stories into something they aren’t.
Not hating on you, unsure why you feel that way (text is hard). You obviously sell a ton of parts \ skis and see a ton of skis so I was curious and I'm sure others had been as well because this was posted in the neighborhood of 20k ready to go at the start. That is all, nothing more nothing less. On that note thanks for sharing the background on this, sorry to hear you got burned buying, dishonest sellers all over these days.

I was just referring to the for sale thread pics and description being deleted after the sale. I'm not bashing anyone and honestly have no idea about the Sale. If the seller found issues and the buyer made it right which it definitely sounds like he did then its really no one elses business. It just seemed a little suspect is all I was saying. Finding the driveshaft tube and exhaust tube being cracked is basically impossible to know without cutting the tray open. Obviously the seller didn't know that as he didn't cut the tray open. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes and as long as it's made satisfactory for both parties involved then nothing else really is relevant. Glad to know both parties are satisfied.

You just finished a Freak, what all issues did you find with yours? I found a ton. https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/not-just-another-superfreak-build.178510/ Did not blame the seller for any of it. Disclaimer, If anyone buys a carbon freak, unless you know that the tray was cut out and lines replaced, go ahead and plan to do this if you are returfing or pressure test. This what I learned. Seller and Buyer did what you are suppose to do. They discussed it instead of one of them getting on here bashing the other. They came up with a plan that worked for both....... This is the perfect example of what you are suppose to do. Not come here and start crap up.
Mine didn't really have all of the same issues as mine is a unicorn glass hull, not carbon. The guy I bought it from told me every issue with the hull I bought before buying it as well so I knew exactly what I was getting into. I read through your thread many times as well. Thankyou again for taking the time to document it.

I also got an circus that needs new cooling lines, when the tray is cut open and ready to get put toghether again, how do you but back the cut out piece? Before laying new fibre on top of that?

Fill that area with foam panels or 2 part foam and sand smooth so the old sections can lay down on them for support. then class in with resin. I had either 404 or 405 adhesive powder to the mix (West Systems) 1669130655399.png1669130655399.png1669130496585.png1669130554039.png

I am going to use small bits of 2 part epoxy to set the parts in initially, use chopped carbon/resin to fill the gaps, then small pieces of carbon to cover the gaps, followed by a larger sheet over the whole thing...maybe one more layer depending on strength

I cut my tray open to inspect the lines on mine. When sealed it up instead of using foam, I used 4 layers of 2 inch glass tape and made some strips that I riveted under the tray that I could lay the piece I cut out to glue back in and laid some glass over the entire tray to reinforce it so I didn't have to add any foam.

Yeah I don’t care so much about this specific context, more how _threads_ can disappear, because I thought they couldn’t. I get that people can edit _posts_ within a thread, and I guess this is probably just a terminology thing. All good.
You can't delete the thread per say but you can delete all of your content on any thread that you started leaving it basically useless ( ask me how I know that one )

I guess the thing to do is reply quoting the original post, thereby keep a copy of it. Seems lame to have to do that, but it’s a “first world problem”, for sure.
