That's cool. Trevor was flipping no problem with a 760. That's what the ski was designed to do. Made for the purpose of flipping. As stated in the skis name and in my review.

It does everything else fine as well. You just have to learn how to ride a fw boat. You gotta have your weight foward. I went through the same thing. 4 tanks later I was flipping my bob and ripping it around moto style. I've got so much better riding it but I still struggle too flip the freak and rickter.

Everyone likes something different, I own a eme and freak. I love how they both handle. I also do not care much for the bob. But that is my opinion.

I am thankful to john (lilracer94) for taking to the time to review a bunch of different skis with no bias.

Jesus Christ let it go man.

I've ridden 3 aftermarket hulls in my life, and I knew within 5 min which ones I ENJOYED riding no matter how long I was on it.

God forbid someone's unbiased opinion is the ski YOU own is less enjoyable than another ski...

A review based on doing nothing would be a review by someone who has never seen the ski. I can look at the fit and finish of 3 AM hulls and write a 'review' based on that. He RODE the skis... for a long enough amount of time to give some sort of opinion.
If I went to one of the "fests" on a coast and did a "test ride" of a aftermarket ski owned by a vendor, it wouldn't be much longer than 45min, I would make my decisions based on that amount of ride time.

This is a great review. It provides a point of reference for SO many people on this site who are trying to make a decsion based on ONE persons report of the ski they bought.

End of the day... you have to ride a ski for yourself to make the call for what is right for you.

You just have to learn how to flip other fw boats. You gotta have some technique. I am much better flipping now than ever before but I still struggle a bit to ride a BOB.

Either one is a fun ride. Why are you getting all mad over opinions on ride characteristics? :dunno:

It just seems like there's a lot of opinions out there from people that own or have ridden Big money skis but they actually can't do anything on them. It makes zero sense to me too justify 25000 ski and then want it to be more stable than a sj. I have rode and flipped the freak rikter and gen 3 for more than a tank each butt I'm new too this so I'm not gonna post a review based on my inexperience.

Its good to hear input on each ski but like its been said again and again, it all comes down to what you like to ride.

Now people need to know what the Powerhouse motor is like! Then you can put in any hull you like and rip some serious sh*t up! You guys will be amazed what these things do:) Look for a display motor comin to a special event soon......:)

turn display into demo and you might get some excitment

No problem with the demo part. I invite anyone interested to hop on my stuff and compare. Jace Forest will be out at world finals competing in the amateur class with an 898 4mil and maybe more by then. I am hoping to be out there with a circus freak with an 898 in it. Hit me up if your going to be there.

Jace Forest...BRAP!
As far as how the PowerHouse Performance 4mil 898 performs I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY with how it performed. NEVER in my life have I had such a big smile on my face after riding it...NEVER! I dont even have it fully dialed in yet and it was amazing...AMAZING!!!
Lets just say I have rode a 10mil 885 with the same bolt on's as mine and this PHP 898 hit harder and had more power than the 10mil.
I'm about to start another thread to talk just about this engine in my ski with my setup and will be adding pics and vids

I was so surprised with how it ran it exceeded my expectations. Right when i pulled my ski onto the trailer, I ran to my truck, picked up my phone, called Zack and before he could even say hello i said " Zack...you are the f*&#king man"

The thing is just riding any ski the way it sits doesn't mean much. First time I rode a sj I thought it was a huge pos. That same ski with a negative 2 pole and whammer ride plate and holy $#%^ what a difference. You gotta spend the timeto set them up for your body weight size and riding style.

If you would do on a review of the gen 3 it would be appreciated. The more reviews there are on a ski the better it is for the community. It would be nice to see a detailed review from someone that has more experience on it.

I weigh 195lbs and have no problems getting the Q8 to plane and just ride it. In fact, I think it's a very nice comfortable FW boat. But riding technique, preferences, rideplate, and pole setup have a lot to do with it.

But hey, the OP posted his personal impression of those boats.

So I take it this doesn't apply to the bob? This guy claims he spent 45mins to an hour on the bob and eme and more time on the freak and sn. Was that all in one day?? Anyone with an hour meter can tell you that didn't happen. Id love to hear how they flipped and rolled cause I didn't build my boat to get on an off plane and do large sweeping turns. Cause that's what the op said right? Id save 20000 and get me an sxr...

Why does his opinion matter so much?

Why does mine? I thought the same things about the bob untill I dialed it in. Made me realize how unfair it is too give your negative opinion on someones product if you don't give it a fair shake. You cannot give a ski a fair shake riding someone else setup. Pole length alone can make a HUGE difference. Its just I read all the bs about the bob but I'm 245 lbs and learned too flip it in 3 days and have really improved my riding on it. If your lee stone fine throw some negative opinions out there you know what your talking about. But if you guys wanna build skis that suck down 2 gallons of race gas in 15 minutes and cruise a round and do sweeping turns more power too you.

Huh. My 1000 can run on pump gas (but I run an Avgas mix in it), about 1 hour on 3 gallons.
