Custom/Hybrid Superfreak Intake Grates

Any specific grates that you guys r running or that I should stay away from?

SF -4.3 glass

I have an R&D aquavein type grate and a RIVA(not sure which one)

I used to run the WORX 201 on my old SJ.

50/50 mix of surf and FW...

Engine if it matters:
JM's 781BB
Hooker 10-16
Solas Mag
B-pipe

I'm currently using a Worx 201 and it's a good all around choice.

Jetmaniac (and Tem?) recommend the Jet Dynamics with some mods done to it. wider wing, casting flaws cleaned up as I recall...

I also have a heavily modded R&D that I plan on trying. It has been deepened and has a much more agressive scoop at the back and a longer "wing" on it. Tem likes alot of scoop to suck down the lighter carbon hulls, especially in the surf. However, it might not be as critical on the glass hull due to a little extra weight.

Im running the deep jet dynamics on both of our freaks. very happy with it. takes a little grinding(or milling) to open up the rear sect to blend it nicely into the pump tunnel,some clearance on center rib, and i spaced the front down about 3/8" to get to sit nicer in hull, i like the idea of it not protruding lower than pump shoe also, not as worried about cracking the shoe from aggressive beaching.

Worx 201 works well, but deep Jet Dynamics works better on badass hull. I have run both on my badass.

Here's a picture of another JD Intake grate that I might pick up from a member here.

The ends r different on this one too. Has a flat side then goes to points on the other side. I was told material might have been added to the scoop.

Just trying to figure out the recommended one.

I may just keep the aquavein or pick up a WORX 201. I had the 201 on my last ski and it worked pretty well.

I know they all work well, ideally I'd like to find the recommended one.
