Chad, pc of alu running parralel with the drive shaft tube (along the ski) or across in the freaks? Wonders why it isnt carbon?

They don't look like aluminum in my Freak. I can see the stringer boards where I cut into the tray. I think it is some sort of foam board like divincyl or a composite board of some sort.

Funny, yeah... that's a Government project, I'm sure they'll get right on that! Ha! They keep hiring people every couple years and talking about it but I never hear of anything really happening out there... your tax dollars at work.....

It should be happening pretty soon. Too bad it will only last a few years as far as operations goes.

What kind of a riding season do you guys get there.

Our season is longer that you would expect - Pueblo is generally milder than the rest of the state - lake doesnt freeze over at all. April 'til October is possible if you are brave in April/early May. Water stays warm-ish until early October. Weather is a roller-coaster ride. Could be 40's and snow one day and 70's two days later in the spring and fall.

Are you going to be working here for the project?

Did you decide on a motor?

Gonna run my trusty Able 5mm stroker for now. If it needs a bore, it will be at 771cc... nothing spectacular, but it always runs well and hits hard.

Yes I plan on trimming it down. Tem said I should. Probably need to get a measurement from him or one of the -4.3 owners... anyone?

Haven't put much time into this lately, but made some progress today: inside is tabbed in and reinforced with carbon, outside is reinforced with carbon, and I trimmed off the back edge. Now time for much sanding, shaping, filler, sanding, shaping, etc...
Looks like a nasty mess right now. :(

I've been out of town so no progress lately.

I made fairly large cuts in the tray which allowed me to get in there and lay a couple layers of carbon in the rear corners to help tie it to all back together.
