The gray is much lighter than the black.

I haven't had issues with my grey going flat......and it is SO much easier to shape and work with.

I am mostly going to be inland lake free ride/free style. is there a price difference between gray/black??? price, wieght and ease of install kinda outweigh the life expectancy. (unless the grey is just really that crappy)

id say wait in the black i used the 5mm black and it lasted 2 yrs, would of lasted longer if i didnt need to remove the turf
If you stick big air landings flat or sightly over rotated the gray stuff is toast, yes it is lighter and easier to work but if it goes flat as a pancake fist few jumps don't even bother putting it on in the first place . I'm a slow learner and had it happen twice, yes even on the wing of the foot well it will compress down with violent foot kicking .

ha, good thing i got a couple months to go. lol. how big of a piece of foam/turf should i get for OEM size tray for SN SJ? I was also thinking about running turf for the bumper rail. How much would that take? any one know of a thread that shows how to turf the rail???

I did a combo - used the gray in the front for easier shaping, black in back for impact. Say that 5 times fast!

all of these pics look like you have more room in between your tray and your foot hold, I'll cut out a piece of padding today and post a pic of what mine looks like
