Where I have it, if you do any kind of a spin to the left the exhaust will flow under the hull and into the pump intake and it cavitates for a second before hooking back up. Bulldogs and turn subs to the left are pretty much impossible because it loses drive and just stops.

I could see it working if it were further back/higher up like right under the bondline.

Why, what does it do? I am very curious as I almost did this mod on my last build, but Paul talked me out of it and I just did the traditional flatwater type front/rear split.

Darin was close with his exhaust, but he's too low and too far forward. I'm pretty happy with my location.

at that far back why not just leave the rear exhaust? If you are worried about weight build a carbon exhaust tube or something. seems like too much work and then it makes it not function correctly anyway.

BTW killer looking ski though.

In a tail stand, the exhaust will not be sucked into the pump inlet like it would with rear exhaust. This comes in handy for monkey jumps.

great build man.....this has my hopes up for this winter......honestly what would you do differently after riding it for some time now??

I'd put the exhaust further back/higher up and move the footholds even further forward than I did, but that's about it.

helmet cam footage of riding it. There's a high speed run in rough water toward the end, and in early parts you can see how easy it jumps out of the water with some throttle.

Jeezz... thats one serious chinpad. LoL. And I gotta say, I must have missed the one page that you showed pictures of it, but I absolutely love the freestanding bulkhead... I may have to go back and do that to mine one day. Would actually give me room for an exhaust like that.
