Super Jet Swapmeet's "Really?" RN build

Hopefully you changed your FCV position to after the tee so you dont overheat your engine, you want as much flow as possible going through to cool the engine and the FCV to control the flow into the waterbox.

Thanks James, its still a POS... but it looks nice.

I have not, but that thought crossed my mind. I discussed it with Mr Miyagi last night.

I didn't have the energy to discuss last night.
So I have a few gremlins to work out I think. Possible vacuum leak, possible exhaust leak, intermitent failure of the deadman switch (doesn't close when lanyard comes out).

That last one results in a whole lot of....

But it did stop...

30 yards later....

Anyhow, the lake was very calm, and besides the wakes I was creating, could occasionally be called 'glass'...

And some pics of the engine in.

Glad you got it on the water. A few more tweaks and she will be a ripper. I love your setup at the lake! Sad this thread is coming to a close...I will miss all the gifs!

Get that fuel filter away from the battery...I feel like that is a fire waiting to happen.

Over???? Have you lost your mind????

This is all about the hull. Its getting torn into this winter. There will be some serious "Really" action I assure. I still have to "out" the jack wagon who sold it to me.

The filter is where it is because of the amount of fuel line included with my carbs when Chris sent them. I really like the fuel line so I didn't change it.
I'm fine with your acessment though. I'll look at it and see what I can do.

would switching the lines around make a difference or are they about the same length?

The return is long, it comes direct from the carbs to the tank. Thats really my issue. I have splices and fuel line so I could extend and re-route if needed.

Oh yeah....

Just got a PM that reminded me of something.

To everyone who saw that I was installing my engine with the chamber mounted and didn't have the common friggen decency to say "Hey there Mr. Swapmeet.... That S ain't gonna work out so well."

I must have spent 45 minutes installing that bolt..... I was so pissed... Gold star to the guy who asked. You know who you are. :shhh:

I've put the motor in. Twisted the motor a bit installed the chamber then bolted the motor down. Just because it was a brand new coupler and was being a douche bag about things

LOL... I had to read that a few times to understand who was being a douche bag. At first I thought you were calling me a douche bag, and then I realized it was the coupler. LMAO.....

Since you're in here... how big is that tank on your ski? I'm thinking about getting a cart tank. My tank isn't holding pressure and I don't think I need one that big anyway.

Do you like it?

for that ski, yeah. its going to be a flatwater setup, never goes too far from the dock. runs out fast. but i have a fixed steer that im running a OEM tank in. thats my river/surf ski. but if your doing an all around ski. as in surf/river/lake/ cruiser chaser blah blah blah, then i'd go with a bigger one. im lucky enough to have the luxury of a dock to place my gas cans there. and can just hit the boat wakes not too far from my dock. depends on your riding area i suppose.

for installing the pipe i always either bake the coupler for a bit or let it sit in the sun all day. And how are you going to out this "Jack Wagon" really interested in the sarcastic remarks and funny pics that are going to go with it hahah. looks good on the water though !!!

You have done a spectacular job so far on the ski and the thread. I hope to attain such greatness in the future!

Thanks!

BTW, I came up with the genital herpes phrase while working on the ski... Cause I was not happy (big suprise? Not so much). So instead of scowering the interwebz for the photo I had in my head... I made it.
