no plans for a cover, its tall enough and the stem is short compared to blaster. if its a must I will make it later after I satisfy my need to ride.

Ya I can't wait to ride this thing! Once you see the crazy glass work we did on the rest of this hull you will know it's going to a good home!
Now a just need to water testbthos thing before wave daze

pfft whats to build? its a bolt on. literally. the hardest part will be moving the steering cable and drilling the hole for the throttle and wires.

I wanna see your steering arm mod...

I can't wait to check this out. I got to ride a 24/7 fixed steer sj with tubbies and I could rip turns forever and not get tired. SXR with fixed steer will be awesome.
Looking forward to seeing 1 in daytona.

Chopped it right off and welded it back on at the right kick. Works!

Ya just bolting it on and wiring. Brotherbruce turfed the ski quick for wave daze since we are going to repaint this whole ski over the winter.

you can do more than see one, you should ride one. I will be trying to bring the square and sxr conversions.

oh sweet, I was sweatin bullets over which measurement to use. in the end I figured I have the stock setup and it has to match that. one of the rare occasions I used my brain and it didnt get me hurt lol

Got the ski done at 11:30 PM on Thursday night and we were driving to Wavedaze at midnight. So I didn't even start the ski. We drove all night got to VA at noon Friday I put gas in it primed it and it fired right up! Took it to the flat water ride and this thing was a hit! Everyone who tried it loved it. We all tried it back to back with the Gen2 X2 and the Fixed steer hood wins out! The placement of the bars is dead on! It's right where kawi should have put the bars on the Gen2 X2.

This was a bare hull we flat decked and we built this thing in 2 days!
Looks crazy on the trailer but when it's in the water it just feels right.

Wow!!!! That looks freaking awesome. Congrats.

Finally a good use for an SXR. J/K

The more I ride this fixed steer sxr the more I love it! This is the first ski I have jumped on since the Gen1 x2 and wanted to ride it all day! Got some good river riding in yesterday and there was a guy on a 650sx he asked what the heck the ski was so I told him a sxr with a fixed steer hood, go take it for a ride. The guy took it out and came back with a big smile and ask how he can get one LOL I still have yet to have anyone ride it and not like it.

Oh ya and hood number 2 for me is now on order. My brother wants his own that's how much we like this hood! Tom out did himself! Anyone thinking of getting a hood do it you will be happy!

seems I have neglected to put up a price, its 1300.00 and only need a few hundred down to get started. I will be at Daytona with a SXR and Square conversion for test rides. As already stated, everyone looks at conversion skis and thinks they look goofy and it cant possibly be better than a pole, but just ride it. Then you can see what is really going on. If I was a better salesman I would go on and on about how awesome it is and it will make you a monster rider with no effort, but I am who I am, and it is what it is. Ride it and find out.

It's way less than a pole hood and steering. I can get lbs soon when I pull it off to paint.
