SXR Conversion Hood Project

It's way less than a pole hood and steering. I can get lbs soon when I pull it off to paint.

I was wondering about that, thats awesome... (how to lighten your sxr) put on toms fixed steering system!!

Once you ride it you understand. But it makes the ski feel smaller and way more nimble

Good for you man you seem pumped about it. I always wanted a second gen x2 but imo they are to much ,it sounds like the sxr with toms fixed steering hood is the way to go. Have you had a chance to take it out in the surf yet? How do you like the flatdeck?

Ya we had it out I the surf at wavedaze. It rocked. I like it more than the gen2 x2. The steering position is so much nicer on the fixed steer hood.
Don't get me wrong I love my Gen2 X2 it's a sick looking ski, and it rips but this fixed steer flat deck sxr is a blast. That's why my brother is building one for himself now. Out of all the skis we were fitting to ride this sxr fdfs.

I for one think the flat deck is a must on any stand up ski let's you get your feet wide like a x2 or blaster and be able to work the ski with your feet. I just hate small trays.

Thats awesome tell me you dont get alot of people looking at it like what is that thing. Maybe if i did a second one i would try it but i dont want to cut my ski up i have to much fun on lol. I would like to compare handling between the sxr n superjet fixed steer. I havent had a chance to ride the sxr yet.

We just flat decked brother Bruces SXR, we are building a twin to the first SXR.

this guy is a nitwit. I have asked him about the steering arm if its included he says it part of the stock setup. I keep trying to explain that he is missing the part and want the steering but not if its not included. I give up. he can keep it.
