SXR hood conversion (the H2OX) ???

Maybe this has been discussed, maybe it has been done?????????? I have not seen it and I personally think a fixed bar SXR would be a pimpin surf boat.
Why have I not seen on done? Maybe WDK, Trinity or someone should step up and get-R-DONE.
Wide AZZ tray w/ agressive riding position would seem to be the perfect thing for the otherwise (IMO) worthless floatation device.
I would think even better than the new X2 as there would be no SEAT LOOKING thingy in your way and you could use footholds. :biggthumpup:

I think Steve at WF was considering doing this. It would basically be a new X2 without a seat.

I still can't believe the SJ Conversion never took off. I really like it and wish I had the money/opportunity to pick one up. I think they are a ton of fun.

not a damn thing wrong w/ an sxr as a surf boat... especially in big surf.

imagine a 50lb sxr hull.... it would handle like a dream and be light as f*ck

At least a yamaha pump. I think you can get power from a KAWI, but I think the little pump and weight holds it back. The new X2's are pimp, except for the seat and no where for holds, I prefer holds over straps all day-

I here good things about the TBM pump cone on a stock 140 SXR pump.... maybe Kevin Collins could elaborate, :brap:

Its all power to weight..... get the weight down enough, and you dont need quite the power..... The kawi is already a 6mil stroker from a 701..... My ideal boat would be ported cylinder, billet flywheel, and pipe on a 220lb complete ski.... good reliable power at a affordable price..... And at the weight of a 450R dirtbike.... right where it should be!
