Not to loud at all, just a bit more throaty which is good! If you havn't already, do it! Such a simple mod and makes it so much lighter!

did my hood today! took about an hour and 1/2 and worth it i didn't weigh it but noticeable just by hand.

Looks like a nice racing hood. Is that the air intake pointing forward? If so not so nice for rec or freestyle. It would make a nice water scoop when stabbing, etc.

Not to totally thread jack, but yes it was primarily designed as a racing hood but could be used for freeride/rec riding. The intake is on top (the least likely place to be placed into water), and the induction point comes with a water proof membrane. It allows air to enter but not water. A material used in other industries for years. The air intake is an elevated handlepole landing pad also, so no need for stacking tons of turf or expensive billet blocks to get that comfortable feel. Pricing will be in the $600 range and include an OEM hood seal.

I use frogskinz over the front hole to aid in keeping water out. My hood is also cut for a dry pipe. Doesnt take on water and still allows for air flow.
