This is just pissing me off now...can't figure it out at all. Still wiggles back and forth...the prop IS screwed all the way on but nothing is tightening up. I think SBT sent me the wrong impeller??????? It's like the shaft doesn't have enough threads to get it on tight?? wtf :Eyecrazy:

I am not sure what the hell is going on, but who has an SXR stock impeller they want to sell? :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Here's a 13/17 -5mm DynaFly sitting in the garage collecting dust. I'll mail it to you to use while you search for a functional stocker. After 6 months though, you have to buy it. :)

Well, I sent the impeller back to SBT...they are taking a look at it, if it's wrong they are sendin' me a new one. I got a phone call immediately from them...good customer service!

if its a stock prop that is reconditioned it should not be a problem. obviously it is not tightening down far enough to take all the slop out. a spacer will put the prop further away from the pump and that may not be ideal. n if it was previously "setback" maybe it was done wrong? or the sleeve is the wrong one? I know when we put sxr props in the 650 pumps we need a longer sleeve. there is definitely a mismatch of a part.

The ONLY part that can be wrong is the impeller. Everything else is original and stock. When I redid the ski, I got a new impeller and a new hull and that is it...

Waiting to hear from SBT... Shonuff, would love to try out that Dynafly!

Dj I was down there today and was waiting for my parts, they have a recon kawi pump in the showroom and I started looking at it. I have in the past seen a wrong bearing installed in the pump, there were 2 different width that would fit for diff applications. Is it possible you have the skinny bearing and not the wider one? that would allow the shaft to go too deep. man that is just wrong....

Good guess, but the stock bearings are still in there...It was, without a doubt, the impeller. Jerry from SBT said the non threaded area was a little smaller than the other sxr impellers they had.

Thanks bro! Gonna try them both and see if there is much difference....I got a new impeller from SBT. This is the correct impeller, tightened right down! Thanks to Jerry @ SBT for fixing the situation quickly!
