I hope I am not intruding on your thread but this is what I came up with for the 3D 951 conversion.. Thats a KAWI SS-XI-STS-Seacouch pickup I am using , I like it because it is low profile and these run fairly decent size fuel hoses, the 951's use 5/16 inlets and 1/4 return hoses, it mounts differently than how it does on a stock ski so I am just cutting a gasket from sheet material to button it all up.

Anytime . most likely the other one will use a Seadoo pickup like Dan did so I can have a working fuel gauge, it's going on an LRV carb conversion that I am probably keeping.

On the next one I want to retain a fuel gauge so I am using a stock Seadoo pickup and I will have someone weld one of these to the second plate , pretty much the same setup Dan used on his.

Anyone else have that issue where you install a bunch of stuff only to realize you missed something and have to pull it all back out.. I forgot the top nose foam...

Yamaha superjet gas tank strap fit perfectly. So no longer waiting on partzilla. Of course my sparkplug wires are about 4" too short.
JSS is a huge pain to work with so ordered the wires etc to do my own. Once I have new plug wires installed I'll be able to fire her up!

I got a cheap set of hole punches from the hardware store, I think they were like $5 , the end was round so it would chuck into a drill, I found one about the right size and cut some teeth in it with a dremel, chucked into a drill that worked pretty well to cut the old wire out of the coil.

Kinda like these :https://www.harborfreight.com/9-piece-hollow-punch-set-3838.html

That is a great idea! I will have to check my stash and see if I have any small ones. Also this 100$ set of drills from harborfreight is pretty impressive. Cut through this stainless steel like butter.

Buy good hss bits. Learn to hand sharpen. Never buy another bit ever again.

My stupid ass xfr has to be put together in a very specific order or things absolutely will not fit. Cause dumbest Taylor curtis doesn't know how to mount a ebox plate

Shes Alive!!

Installed new 8mm sparkplug wires. Cost 40$ shipped with msd boots and was much easier then I expected. *cables pulled right out with little effort. Also updated the starter cable from 6ga to 4ga.

But two major issues.

Front carb
is puking out gas like it doesn't have a needle and seat. Replaced the o-ring on the seat and tried to polish it with a q-tip but no change.
-Anyone know where you can buy new oem needle and seats for keihin carbs?

Stop switch doesn't work so need to figure out if the wiring is wrong or if its the switch.

On the bright side the accelerator pump works awesome.
