I would bolt that power plenum up and see where the jetting is at before messing with anything, it usually leans out a bit so do some plug checks just to be on the safe side.

About 7400 rpm depending on Nozzle diameter and Impeller?

For reference SXR 800 Hull: "stock pump- 16/24 solas 82/85 nozzles 61.5 mph. 16/21 prop and 80/83 noz went 59.8mph @ 7400 rpm"

See https://www.pwctoday.com/forum/comp...63-stock-1100-sxr-build-specs-61-mph?t=362323

and https://www.pwctoday.com/forum/tech...t-ur-stock-sxr-1100-to-run-63-64-mph?t=360727

Some of this info should transfer to the SXR 1500 Hull...

From Riva for SXR 1500 with 4-stroke Engine: https://www.pwcmuscle.com/kawasaki-sxr-1500-stage-1-kit.html
  • Stock 60 MPH @ 7,600 RPM
  • Stage 1 65 MPH @ 8,000 RPM with Skat Trak 13/17 Impeller
  • Stock Class 65 MPH @ 8,000 RPM
1500 Pump size is 148 mm versus SXR 800 140 mm...

Thank you for the links! Read through those threads and one of them mentions increasing the pilot jets on the cdk2 carbs from 72 to 78. Thinking about trying that but wondering if I should disconnect the accelerator pump or leave it hooked up?

If you go back and read again...

4 .stock 1100 intake manifold( no crossover mod), stock reeds, stuffers, cages, accelerator pump connected

5 .stock 1100 carb rack. CDK2 ( non-cv) , choke plates removed, prok adapter air filters, return resstrictor not modified.
6. 2 pulse lines from cases
7. fuel feed- one fuel line to front carb, one fule line to rear carb. center carb is fed fuel via "t" in fuel return lines from front and rear carb. Center carb fuel return line goes to gas tank.
8. Carb jetting- 130m 1 to 1 1/4 out, pilot 78 1 to 1/4 out. stock 1100 N/S, springs
9. Carb specs provided by Chris03HD

78 pilots and r&d flame arrestor installed today. Hoping to take her out next week. After that I will take her back apart.

Picked up a cheap (150$) WSM platinum top end kit for her locally. Never used anything WSM before so hopefully its not junk. And over the winter I got an R&D timing advance plate, and signed up for the Boyesen rider program (30% off) so probably toss some new reeds in her too. And once all that is done I'll probably let some noob ride and sink her.

Finally got out to the water! set the carbs to 1.5 turns out on all the screws and bottom end was maybe a hair better but top end was much slower. Changed the front and rear carb to 1 turn out each with middle carb at 1.5 turns (too hard to get to at the lake) And she was a rocket! Best of all i can lean all the way over tell my arse hits the water and she pulls me right out of it. Cheap tach i got wont do a 3 cylinder so need to pick up a tiny tach.
