I just got word the tpe 10mm is running very.........Phil is telling me its running well and he is afraid its going to hurt someone. Bottom line if its more than you think you can handle just go easy on it. Like everyone else keeps saying use common sense.

Just to add to this..........
The boat is running well. I'm uncomfortable on the hull and more importantly am not 100% secure in the foot holds. My test ride (in 38 degree water) was limited to what I could do safely considering my limited time on the boat. My biggest concern personally is coming out of the holds. I mentioned to Brian that people test riding need to be careful because (in my opinion) the holds are a bit loose, and people may come out. If you've never flipped before or ridden a big motor ski, the holds may lead you to believe you are tight and secure. The power of any of these large motors is impressive. XS runs massive heal stops to help keep their guys in. They aren't there for looks. It's easy to feel like you or the ski is more than capable of a flip or other maneuver, but if you're not used to the ski, power, etc, you may be surprised with the outcome.
Bottom line, ride within your ability. If you want to attempt something, get permission from the owner before taking the boat out. Keep in mind unfamiliar hulls/footholds and powerbands can cause issues and the boat may do something you're not expecting.
Lastly, no one is saying this motor is so bad a$$ people can't handle it. It's a great motor, and there is more in it for sure, but the winter weather isn't helping finalize tuning.
If you're curious about the motor or hull, talk to Brian about a demo. It's his ski and motor, and was built as a demo boat. I was simply asked to help sort out a few bugs on it.
There is enough poo talking that goes on about various engines/hulls, etc. We/I don't want any part of that. I wanted to be clear about the comments about someone getting hurt (mainly as they relate to riding unfamiliar equipment).
Take a test ride and draw your own conclusions about how it runs.
See you guys soon.
