Cool, mine is tomorrow, but I plan on celebrating it on the 17th so I have an excuse for getting stupid.
cool....happy birthday
I used to think mine was the 17th because when I was little that's when we celebrated it. It wasn't until I started school that I found out the truth! So I just use it as an excuse to celebrate both days.

You might be able to catch up with some of the Denver-ites. I think you are the only one drving from CA. If you were on the east coast, that is another story.

In Daytona we had to buy a 1 month pass to launch skis, which meant showing registration, safety gear etc. Do we have to do the same at Crystal Beach? I only ask becasue I'll have to head to the courthouse to get my wife's ski registered before then if so....

No pass, just the usual USCG requirements. May want to bring a copy of the title, if applicable, but I do not think you will need it. It is those Louisiana cops you have to watch out for, they are notorious.

For TX, just make sure you have current registration and your registration numbers on your boat, a PFD, and fire extinguisher.

michael nailed it.

yes Mick I have an SJ - but I'd like to pimp it up. If I can get a good deal on a newer one, then I'll go that route.

and since Butch always has people giving skis to him , I thought I might find a good deal on one.

I would have bought the one Royal Flush sold the other day, but I missed it by a hair.
