here's a bit of info:

for those renting houses - get one as far off the beach as possible. It's much cheaper that way. Tell the rental ppl you want a house as close to the "Bluewater Addition" or "O'Neal Rd" as possible.

I will talk to a couple of the neighbors and see if I can negotiate some cheaper rent for the weekend. One should let me use that house for free. (my grandfather's old house). For those that stayed in the Taj Mahal last spring - it may be available again...you will be PLEASANTLY surprised.

for those flying:
there is a limo service that will pick you up at Hobby Airport, drive you to Galveston and drop you off at the Ferry landing. They will pick you up after the weekend is over and take you back to Hobby as well. All this for about $30. I'll get the phone number and post it.

By Request, I tried to find a house with a hot tub...no dice. I was only able to locate 2 rental houses with a hot tub and both were booked. Keep trying - you might get lucky.

I may want to rent a house for an evening or two depending on if Mrs. Prem1x can switch her time off now that the dates have changed. If not, I'll just be commuting. If I get a house, though, I'll offer up some rooms.

it has new owners and was completely remodeled. damn near tore the thing down rebuildling it.

seriously - the house was bought by 2 contractors (business partners) - they gutted it, put on all new room, completely rebuilt the inside, replaced all the doors and windows and then Hardiplanked the house.

they put it back for sale after the remodel. Here's the listing with pics:
