Do the prop buddy, it puts grippy wheels on your mustang so even if its not the top built motor, at least it grips and goes with everything its got.

I Ran the 12/17 in my ski for that first week on flat water then surf and it felt great! I rode it next to Chris's whos was bone stock and i definetly felt the grip and punch in the bottom end and mid.

I would have to say footholds, especially if you want to freestyle. A stock 701 is decent but your screwed without something to hold your feet in place.

Without mods you don't need to keep your feet in place .
I would have to say a prop too .

Just one mod eh? I'm going to go with foot holds/straps. Over time, you could get used to a crappy handleing or even an underpowered ski but if you don't have foot holds your really limited

I agree with the above list but since you didn't mention a budget I would have to suggest my first mod ..... well on my new ski it was .... a 850cc stroker from Jetworks it is just BAM is all I can say
