for starters, they are not a flatwater hull unless its the circus cause they are too long and ride too flat. great rec hull. my yellow -5 800cc was a great boat chaser, but thats all. red -4.3 1000 is overkill for boat chaser, but not enough power for anything but single tricks, too long. and then there is the quality of construction on that hull. hood is garbage. bondo was used where the hood side hooks bolt on, to make it look good, and next to no carbon used for strength. maybe it was whoever thrust had paint it but that just covered up the lack of strength in that area and then there is the hood liner............ also lack of strength on the sides of the hull opposite the footholds. carbon ride plate bolt holes hogged/hacked the F out to line up. i bought that boat with maybe one season on it , for 10k less than it was sold for new and if i knew then, what i know now, i would have spent the money elsewhere. i had no issues with the yellow one except the carbon exhaust tube in the bulkhead crushed and i had to swedge up an aluminum pipe and reinforce it from the inside. the yellow one was one of the first ones and maybe a heavier layup, i dont know. waste of time because they only made me figure out they werent what i needed and waste of money since they are high priced with multiple construction flaws. then again, i'm yet to find anything that doesnt have issues of some kind.
