Other The ideal jet ski video game.

1 part Grand Turismo, 1 part Grand Theft Auto, 1 part Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

In the game you are an aspiring jet ski freeride/freestyler. You start off with an old 550 that barely runs and $1000 bucks cash. To start there are a limited number of ride spots to choose from and you can gain experience points and level up to go higher, handle your boat better, etc. to get cash for upgrades you compete in events. The money you earn fromwinning lets you upgrade your ski or buy new ones.

As you win competitions and use the money to upgrade new ride spots are unlocked with better waves and or better competition opportunities. Eventually you'll have enough cash to build purpose built boats for surf or freestyle and you'll be able to fine tune your set ups just like in Grand Turismo.

The play style will be similar to Tony hawk except throttle would be the right joystick and and steering/weight distribution the left. The better you get at the physics of the game the more experience points you get. In turn you can do more with your current set up and help win competitions.

Watcha think? Winter bluesin' over here. :chairfall:

It's entirely possible to make it happen. There are free game engines that take a lot of the grunt work coding out of it. With a kickstarter, some enthusiastic graphic design artists and programmers, and input from the X community, including riders and aftermarket engineers we could have our own virtual jet ski sandbox.

why would anybody want to re-live that old nightmare of reality? isnt that what we already did since we started jetskiing? instead of wasting money on the game, upgrade your boat or buy a wetsuit so you can keep riding in winter.

My machine doesnt go very good on ice

When you first insert the game a message pops up it says, "would you like to start career mode now on a stock 550 and spend 48 hours of gameplay and then upgrade, or we will start this 24 hour timer and then start on a stock square superjet?"

I spend enough time doing all that for real. The game should be all fun action. That's what I don't get enough of.

Build a version for Wii that has an active wobble board or something else that mimics riding. Something that would actually build or maintain fitness and core while you play instead of just sitting on your ass all winter.
