I have one, but havent tried it yet. Been hearing many mixed reviews and am confused. I mostly ride flatwater.
Gil says it sucks tennis balls... I remember Parr saying he loved his. I've heard its great in the surf. I did a search and read all too.

What about flatwater?
Currently I have OEM pump with 85mm bored pump nozzle w/WW cone and a Skat swirl 12/17 cut back 7mm.

Fully ported 61X 84mm cyl and ported 62T cases
ADA head 200 lb.
MSD TL dual digital
B pipe
dual black Jack 44's w/V force 2s
etc...

TIA

I am courious about this also. I was told to pick one up for my ski but don't want the drop the cash for a "better hook up" in the with water. I hook up fine in the dirty lake water I ride in. I want more snap.

The TBM does not suck tennis ballz-----IT SUCKS BIG CLACK DONKEY BALLZ!!!!!! I F'ed w/my set up for 4 F'ing months trying to make it work-then I sold the bitch(the BEST day of my life).

Then again, D SLICKER is a pretty smart guy and says he likes his????
I dunno-I guess try it and tell me what u think. LOL

The TBM has its place in the world-that place just aint in my pump. Tim makes awesome stuff and I am NOT slamming him/or his products, I simply could not find the set up for me. I ride flatwater freestyle only.

And DBR missed 4...count them mfers...4...FAT azz cruisers plowing up some killer wakes today on the river!!!!

I have a TBM.....and if I ever get my powder coated poop that Gil has:chairshot: ...that I need to get my build finished.... I might get to try it out and give another opinion.

That sucks a monkey di(k!

Well that is probably why I broke down... If I tried to roll or backy a big boat wake, I would have ended up hurting myself.

That and I didn't being my tools with me today jinxed me...

I have been running this setup for over a year now. 1st with a 780cc flattopper, and now with a ported 718.

The hook up is awsome, both on flatwater and in surf.

I would say anyone who didnt have luck with this setup just didnt have enough power to warrant the added hook up. For me it would be hard to go back.

Maybe gils boat wasnt tuned properly. ;0 I wouldnt go by what he is telling you..... For your setup it should totally kick arse!

Just ride
the more you have done the more you notice it. i feel, in flatwater the ski is able to get further out of the water and keep the pump loaded longer when your hitting the set up wake and stuff. surf definetly notice the extra hook up in white wash. i have one with 12/17 skat swirl small hub, 61x motor with pipe and head

Got one in my garage.. my impeller is welded to the shaft.. bent the little solas impeller tool just trying to remove it.. no cone for me i guess..

I want a mag pump too.. just need a big bore, porting, carbs.... etc etc..

TBM Is Awesome!

I ran one with an 800 flat top and it worked great. Its a great magnum pump substitute. I am now running a Waterdawg Kustomz 1200cc and a 148mm mag. TBM is a Great product for the money.

No he will not!
Don't know about Gil's problems, I had good luck with mine. It does take some power to run it though, with the 5mm LPW motor I had I went from a 13/17 concord down to a 13/15 with the TBM. This was using an 85mm nozzle with both setups.
