something else?

choice 2 is the logical one.

forget about the " involved partys' " cronies.

thanks for linking me to this darin. you know i love you.

btw, this needed to be done.

some things need to be moderated. some things need to flow naturally.

some things need to be moderated in order to flow 'naturally'.

its a fine balance and i make a great consultant!

Clearly, No. 2.
I believe that was the original intent when we went to a moderated neg. feedback forum.

i voted for remove it all together.i think it just breeds negativity

That would be my second choice.
I have had some negative dealings in the past. I never posted about them because I didn't think anything would come of it.

However - if we remove it, the negative feedback posts will just go somewhere else on the forum.
Then what? If we delete them, people will start complaining that we censor.

Why not remove it and make a little color ++ -- indicator below avator , that way you can see if someone has a lot of --- or a lot of +++...

Then when purchasing you can decide if you wish to take a risk...

I would vote to remove it altogether because we all know how much you guys hate negativity but then what would we do for drama ?

I think you should leave it the way it is.
It is valuable information if you are considering buying from someone you haven't interacted much with.
I think you have to let other people chime in who have experience with the buyer or seller that is relevant, but not necessarily just everybody who wants to pick up a pitchfork.
I think it is a good balance right now, and you guys do a great job locking it down when the time comes.
My 2c

resign your moderatorship.

you make a WAY better smartass than a hall monitor.

darin has more than enough wankerhood to cover this site.... and dont forget, hes also got harrison.

darrison (you) is just redundant... in a not so much way

I'd vote for option 2, but allow anything either party wants to post to be posted. IF something needs consequences, handle it after it's posted. It should be up to them as to whether or not they want to dig their own grave. Hell, like in my case, it allowed the person to show their true colors when so many thought they were a saint.

And I think the feedback forum is very important. When selling/ buying to/from someone, the first thing I do is check the forum for dirt.

you damn skippy fuggin A right!

too much details and waste of time on how someone thought someone else f.... them over....

It all boils down to , bad shipped stuff, stuff not shipped, stuff not paid, stuff not working , someone not responding bla bla bla always same same..

More build threads, tips , tricks, innovations, freerides, videos....

and just have them post a negative below avatator, let them handle it via PM's e mails or phone numbers...

That is crap. I think details mean everything. The more details about how it went wrong, the better. If things are in the works of being resolved, I agree. However, as we have learned, some people don't care about resolution, they will just tell you to :):):):) off.

If you get :):):):)ed over, I guarantee you will want to tell anyone willing to read it exactly what happened.

I got ........ over here by a couple of peeps but overall I have had very good experiences.

I managed to resolve all problems via PM/e mail or calling them, no need to go into further detail, no need to elaborate, I never went and posted a huge thing cause they knew they screwed up, as a result they would have such a red pole ------that everyone would be super hesitant to buy and they would not have to read tru all the stories and "he asid , she said "

I think time is spent better with helpfull usefull threads than ongoing stories of people who are dishonest...just my opinion.

Yabut if you were going to PayPal $500 to somebody, wouldn't you want to know if somebody else sent the same dude $500 last month and never got their stuff, or it was junk, or whatever?
I agree there are way better things to read on the X than all of the drama, but having it as a reference to search through when you are going to buy something is invaluable.

orangefinger, when you pay good money and get a halfassed 'job' that flakes apart when you look at it, it should be documented so others do not make the same mistake in sending the part to the same jobless loser.

there. i said it.

am i going to be 'infracted' now?

btw, i wasnt speaking of anybody specifically.

OK......like all we have been following this thread and now would like to just point out that so many good points have been discussed in this thread which started from a poll.....so was thinking if perhaps the standard form could be more of a poll reflecting on good and bad sales/work? So many people have had both good and bad experience and it shouldn't get lost in say only a few negatives vs. all the positive... Just a thought........I mean who doesn't like to watch how some threads unfold? However, almost always they make a turn for the worse....IMO!

let the member that has the issue + the member that is in question post as many times as it takes to state there side's of the issue.

only let other un-related member's post 1 time on that thread.
that way it does not turn into a drama-slug fest thread.

get wet
