been running the rrp fat bar system for over a year now. had it on my sj then traded it to my sons sxr. great setup allows infinte adjustments you can adjust length by tilting the bars up or down too. my only problem is i have been thru 3 big orings on the steering ?

I have the whole rrp setup with the 75mm bars I'm going back to straight bars the rise makes a roll of a small wave or flat water rolls alot harder. When the pole is on the hood I can't get low enough to spin as fast as needed to land flat.

I would think that the rider being lower would make a much bigger difference than the pole being lower (considering that the rider weighs much more than the pole). Wouldn't this make these bars counter productive?

I didn't really want to get into a big discusison about wether or not someone should use them but... think about who IS using them, people who are quite a bit better than me so I don't think the bars are going to hold me back at all.

I like the idea of the lower pole.

oh, and straight x-metal bars. they're so 2005.

youre right. thats why ive never used them.... that and they bend if you look at them funny. straight 7/8" x 3/16" stock here.

maybe i missed something, but did you get rid of your 24/7 fixed steering setup?
