Today was a great day until I couldn't get the sj started. Carb was said to be "recently rebuilt and in 100% working condition". Then everything sucked afterwards. I was really looking forward to hitting the bay this weekend but some jerk off decided to screw me over.
Anyone have a 44 mikuni for decently cheap?

Takes so dam long to get on with a company now days. Applied for a job in may and closing date isn't until July 9th. Just applied with Conoco Phillips probably take 3 months to get on there

Car overheated on the way into work today. Coolant level looks good, water pump appears to be working. Looked like a thermostat issue. Took it to the local mechanic. Just got a call back, "it's the thermostat. It will be $400 to replace." Wait. What?! Yeah, don't touch anything else. He must think because I wear a suit to work I don't know what a thermostat is and how much it costs.

Lol right depending what yr model could b water pump. On my wife's 04 liberty car was over heating. Wasn't leaking or making noise. Decided what the hell I'll pull it off and look. Had a plastic impeller inside hub was cracked so the nut it sat over was just spinning

It's German engineered, so I'm sure it's made from plastic. It's also probably hidden behind 32 other pieces of plastic that have far too many bolts and plastic clips that require special pliers to remove and break when you look at them wrong. I'm hoping it's just a thermostat (although this still requires removing a throttle body and alternator...)

There's an employee meeting on Sunday for my part time job. Apparently it's going to be a "pass the gavel" type of thing. The drama is going to be insane.
I like my boss/owner and the partner, but the partner tries to pull the macho crap all the time even though he's never there and had zero idea as to what's going on.
There's a girl who works for the business and she's screwed up so many times(being high, missing money, product, etc), and the partner just keeps making excuses for her. Everyone HATES working with her because she literally does nothing, when she does anything she is likely to do it wrong, takes without asking and gets treated like a princess. Makes you wonder...
It's a part timer which I don't really need, but I like to work so I do it.

I was exhausted earlier but I caught my 2nd wind. I'm wide awake and bored as hell.
Was off work yesterday and had an engine to reinstall in a honda civic. Came in this morning and my boss had it all bolted in and wired up. So i finish it up and start it and it sounds like hell. Something is rubbing something and making a terrible racket. While i appreciate his help, now i have new problems to fix on it. Would rather it been left alone and i installed it all myself that way i know its all good.
